Hey everyone.
New author here, and I'm starting to get a bit antsy about my first two stories "A Blackmailed MILF 1A" and "1B" which I submitted about 14 days ago now. They're still sitting in Pending, and I haven't heard anything back. I sent a PM to Laurel and an email to Literotica support two days ago, but no response yet. I know the queue is huge, but is this normal for newbies? Do first-time stories get a closer look or take longer to process? Or should I be checking if something's off with the formatting? Any tips or similar experiences would be awesome—appreciate the help! Thanks!

I’m feeling the pain also, I have three chapters submitted over the past three weeks, all pending.

Same here. I have submitted a second part to my two part story and it's still held in pending. The first one went through rather quickly so I am not sure what's going on.

We can only guess at this point. Things seem to have gotten worse since late summer. But even before that, AI screening started, perhaps due to a sudden increase in the number of stories. The story surge may be ongoing, and the AI filter may be flagging too much for human review creating an impossible backlog. We’ll never know.

Other than health of the two site owners, I am dismissing technical glitches at this point. They would surely be corrected by now. Stories are not lost at this point, rather, they may be in a queue with too many others. Just a guess.

The one going through but not the second seems to indicate something in your second story is being screened or flagged for human review. What Lit needs is an AI process that can identify why something is being flagged, and let the authors know right away.

But the latter creates a problem. If Lit identifies specific red flags, AI bots will generate stories that bypass the AI screening checks!

It’s a resonable supposition. Maybe if the authors could be notified when this happens, it would set expectations better.

Last year (and I think it's repeated somewhere in the FAQ) Laurel or Manu mentioned getting about 250 submissions a day. At the time there were around 175 stories being published each day.

So basically a year ago Lit was turning down 75 stories a day. I can't imagine that that number has gone down, and in fact I suspect it's gone up.
