Crystal Griener (sp?) the Capitol police officer who didn't hesitate to charge the shooter to protect Rep. Scalise, is married to a woman. She was visited in the hospital by her partner.

The man she protected, Rep. Steve Scalise, has dedicated his life to repealing gay marriage and preventing such hospital visits by "unrelated" partners.

Outside of military, there really is very little that is bullet proof. Bullet resistant is as good as it gets, and it isn't perfect.

I used to install partitions in banks and other businesses. The stuff we used was basically 1 1/2" acrylic. It would stop a 9MM or .45, but a .22 Long Rifle would go through it. Something about diameter vs. velocity.
