would love the story from daughter's POV. I seldom if ever dare write a female POV. My stories with FMC are (almost?) always third person POV, whereas when I write MMC, I tend to default to first person POV.

Chapter 5 is getting mediocre scores (i.e. less than a red "H") , with no comments, and as usually happens with a series, declining readership.

The time has come to ask whether this series has run its course.

Well, maybe the filling in story has gone a bit full circle.

I mean the stepdaughter filling in for her mom has had most of the situations I guess and the dynamic inside the family has already changed a lot, so I don't know if it still counts as filling in.

It could be a good idea to end it here.

However if you like the characters you could always start a new story with them that focusses on other things than filling in. The new story could happen after this one, maybe add a bit of a time-skip and have the new situation normalized at the start of the new story.
