I wrote Chapter 2 as the logical conclusion to the story, started in Chapter 1 but could investigate these characters further.
But having exhausted the typical sex acts between stepdad and stepdaughter (and mom), how do I avoid repetition?
Why does the stepdaughter fill in again?
where does she fill in? A business trip? A convention? A wedding? Something else?
Or should I just move on?

As for the sex acts, they can repeat. No biggie. It's the situation that has to change to keep it fresh. Bob and Jane can have doggie style at in act one, at home in bed, and then again when he bends her over a picnic table when they are dogging in a park, in act 2.

Well, the story seems complete with the 2 chapters, if you want to create a chapter 3 I think you need to act something new or some sort of suspence.
I would say the whole idea of 'filling in' should be pushed more to background since the fact that he is fucking Linda is now an established fact, you passed that bridge so to say.

You could just take it into fetishes with chapter 3 or into sharing but sharing isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Maybe stepdaughter offers to act as their 'sextoy' for their anniversary, pleasuring them both. Linda gets fucked while Jess sits on her face. MC and Jess kiss passionately and make it a romantic night of passion while Linda is used as a tool for them. Don't worry about living up to the title. There were six "Thin Man" movies, but the character of the Thin Man only appeared in the first one.

Sex is much, much more than just position 1 through 69. It is an interplay that can start from the first tease, like a sultry message or a dirty look.

You can go for testing out toys. What would mom like for a toy as a present? Maybe her younger self can help out. From tiny remote controlled bullets that she can wear at the dinner table and try not to have mother notice, to full on sex swings.

You can go so many ways here. You can have a dress up party, where the tails of their costumes are fastened deeper than the fabric. Maybe there's a mix up where he takes the wrong one to the bedroom upstairs at the student party they crashed, not knowing his stepdaughter had the exact same outfit.

Aim for the satisfaction of the mother through the daughter, or just fall back on the easy "breeding" fantasies that are celebrated by many.

Or if nothing else gets your ideas going I would let it be dormant. There's no shame in leaving a story line finished. Beautiful as is.

Could spend a day in each big town like day 1 in Miami, day 2 jump up to Tampa Bay, day 3 up to Atlanta... If she has a list of 7 colleges to check out that is a week worth of traveling. If more then that could be getting into a few weeks... Then again maybe to really check out the town they take 2 or 3 days per college city.
