I have a friend that is like a sister to me, so I will read brother sister stories with her in mind. Sooo I am not perfect, but then again she is not really my sister. I guess someone could aply that logic to a stepdaughter. There would have to be factors in place for it not to be creapy for me though. I believe in freedom of speech, so tonethebone can say anything he wants, and so can people who object to relationships between adult men and their adult stepdaughters, adult women and their stepsons, adult men and their stepsons, and adult women and their stepdaughters.

The funny thing is, we assume that everything said/written in a reply in various forums is true. Sometimes (and we know who we are) what's said/written is fantasy. But why do we have problems when someone says somethin' that shocks our individual values. Like here in America, we women walk around with skirts and dresses way above our ankles, right? In lots of cultures, that's taboo. In some of those cultures, committing adultery can be cause for death. Here on Lit, there are lots of photos of women (and men, but this thread deals with women so ...) wearing absolutely nothin'. But that don't bother anybody, right? Then there are threads dealin' with guys sharin' their wives, and other guys replyin' how they'd like to screw the guy's wife. But that's OK, right?

Now, tonethebone comes along and says -- and we're assumin' his situation is real -- he has a hot stepdaughter, AND he senses that she has a thing for him. They're both adults, assuming he's tellin' the truth, right? I think that's a totally hot situation. But if you bring the psychologists into it -- the people askin' (and, yes, they have the right to ask) how old the stepdaughter was when tonethebone met her. WTF does that have to do with what they feel like now? OK, this may be a poor analogy, but let ME play psychoanalyst: Let's say you got a man who's 50 who's datin' a woman who's 30, and let's up the ante and say that the woman is the daughter of a former neighbor who moved away long ago. From the time she was born to the time her parents moved away from the neighborhood (and not because of him), when she was 17, he knew her. But there's nothin' wrong with them datin'. Back to tonethe bone ...

His stepdaughter is NOT his daughter. They are both adults. What's the problem? If he's known her since she was a child, that has nothin' to do with his current fixation on her and vice versa. Again, we are assumin' here that there was no criminality (such as child abuse, pedophilia) on his part.

Here's somethin' interestin: Why is it that when a young girl favors a male relative, say, an uncle, or a male family friend, people say things like "She's flirtin' with you." "She has a crush on you." I think that's wrong/inappropriate. In the case of the uncle, the adults making the comment are supportin' incest. In the case of the family friend, they could be supportin' pedophilia. She is a child; the man is an adult. But when that child becomes a woman and if she still has a crush on the man (here we're talkin' about the family friend), how could there be somethin' wrong with that relationship?

Another thing we hear it all the time and take for granted as bein' appropriate: "She sees him as a father figure." OK, so it's all right for a woman to screw a guy that she thinks of as a surrogate for her father. That would be psychological incest, my friends. That makes the adult stepfather and adult stepdaughter sex scenario look like a platonic friendship. Oh, and why is it OK for a woman to cry out "Fuck me, Daddy!" during sex.

But the greatest point of all is the one previously made about hypocrisy regardin' stories about incest vs. real-life incest. There's a great appetite out there (and here on Lit) for fantasy literature about incest. Incest is one of the last big taboos. I personally abhor incest in real life, but I draw the line when it comes to adult step- mothers, fathers, daughters sons. Perhaps sociology/psychology needs to catch up to the times or somethin'. But in terms of storylines about incest, I love readin' it. It gives me a naughty thrill.

One more thang and I won't speak more on this topic: In more than a few cultures, inbreedin' was encouraged. We're talkin' royalty among those cultures. That was incest! So there are lots of people walkin' around today who are byproducts of incest. Yet everybody's so uptight. As uptight as a motherfucker -- oops, that's an incestuous word. Shhh ...
