A nuclear meltdown occurs when the nuclear fuel inside the reactor core overheats and melts into a glowing hot magma-like substance. The molten core melts through the bottom of the reactor vessel, through the bottom of the containment building, through the ground underneath the plant, and into the underground water basin creating a geothermal explosion which sends giant geysers of radioactive steam shooting through the ground of the general area surrounding the reactor building. Hence the term "meltdown".

I believe that the steam explosion we saw at the Fukashima plant was a result of a meltdown. The corrupt government and media are lying about it and downplaying the situation. Putting millions of lives at risk in Japan and the world over. They need to begin massive evacuations NOW!

This could be worse than Chernobyl. This could render most/all of Japan permanently uninhabitable!
