Why did you feel the need to post a PSA?

When my class read that paper, everyone (including me) was surprised to learn how two or three innocent bits of information can very easily be combined to identify one unique individual. It's something that I don't think many people are aware of. I thought it would be helpful to share for those who have a desire to maintain their privacy.

Other people on Literotica have been very good to me, answering my questions and sharing their expertise. I guess I wanted to return the favor.

True enough. But access to that record is limited.

The paper I linked to demonstrates that anyone else who can read the forum, if they take the time and make the effort, might be able to identify you unless you are very careful.
