I know this may seem like a very strange and down right weird question but I need a large amount of stats for a paper I am writing
and I was told this would be a good place to look.

What I need is a little information that people on here might be able to give on sexual abuse.

There are two ways we can do this either you could post it here, or if you'd prefer and might be easier to keep it anonymous for everyone and easier for me to organize it all you can Email me here.

the questions are quite straight forward but I admit they are quite personal but I have been unable to find many sources so far so I am in a pinch but here goes.

The people of Lit have often shared their most intimate and painful stories, but I just wanted to caution you on relying too heavily on a site like this for a paper. Statistics come from respected and well known sources (medical journals, in your case). You may get illustrations here for the statistics you find elsewhere, but please do not confuse the two. Professors are not known for embracing such "research" as can be found on an anonymous internet site.

I'm a university professor and this kind of survey would never cut it. What's more, I think most students would realize that, which has me wondering what you're really trying to collect info for.

I'm sure some where in the education you need the stats for is what etc stands for. Et cetera, translated as 'and others' or 'and the rest'. Not ect but etc.

If you were really after this sort of information you would be aware that the statistic's you require can be found in the numerous books that are available on abuse.

secondly if you were really doing this for any sort of college University course then you wouldn't be posting it on here as you would have a better understanding of the complexities and the Issues surrounding confidetiality and disclosure.

I too have done my share of stat type papers. Mostly of the technical, social/economic or political type but I can still tell this is sooooooooooo bogus.
