OOC:Good job Renegade I like what you have done, thanks for taking my suggestion I think It will pan out into an epic story, But you need a mission to start on and, well I think I have just the thing!!!!!
"I am to excited to sleep as well... my mind keeps wandering to what will happen in training tomorrow. What if they DO attack tomorrow!" My eyes widen at the thought of it. I stand up, "Well, I should probably try to get some sleep." I walk to the door and turn back to face Tawain, "May the Force be with you as well, Tawain... have faith."
Tawain watched her go, then switched off the light and went to bed. Have faith...easy thing to say. How could he have faith--how could anyone have faith in a would-be Jedi who could only use the force only half of the time.
In the middle of such dark thoughts, sleep finally came.
(ooc: Yes, I agree why can't there be romance right?)
Sha'ara felt the door slide shut behind her and glanced thoughtfully back at Tawain's door. "He really surprised me tonight" she thought. "I guess he never hated me or anything like that, he's just experiencing all the same doubts that nag at all of us. I wonder if anything can be done about his problem? That's one to ponder." She determined that she was going to do what she could to help him solve the mystery of the Force giving out on him.
A smile tugged at her lips as she thought of their deal to "stay alive"... she would stay alive, for Tawain, and for her parents spirits. She entered her room and crawled into bed. She fell asleep still pondering the mysterious Tawain and the things he revealed to her tonight.
As I awaken the next day I know that today will be a very busy day. I collect my things and head to the showers to get freshened up.
The events of yesterday run through my head as the water runs over my body. I look down to my chest and see the claw mark from my youth. Yoda had explained to me that it was caused by a unknown species of aliens that had killed my family and would have killed me if it werent for him. Yoda spent all of his life trying to do what was right and I wasnt going to let him down.
I was going to help the Rebels destroy the last of the Empire or die trying!
Tawain got out of his bed, yawning. He was not really rested. Sleep had come late, and even then had been troubled by strange dreams.
Deciding to combine training with morning warm-up, Tawain activated his laser sabr--his was not green like that of most Jedai, but bright blue--and put on his sight obscuring helmet.
The force made itself felt this morning, and he blocked every shot of the floating training sphere.
After a quick shower, Tawain stuck his sabre into his belt, took a deep breath and walked out of his room, marching off firmly towards the training grounds.
Skill: As powerful as Luke in Empire(to date the best one of all), and as reckless, too. Still carries a blaster as well as his saber.
Physical: 5'11", 20yrs. old, tan skinned, deep brown eyes, buzz cut black hair, muscular(medium build). Looks like the lead singer from Fine Young Cannibals. Hates the uniform, but he wears it. Outside the academy he wears the more sinister black attire, like Luke in Return.
Background: An orphan, Drakon is unwittingly part of Mace Windu's family. He turned to the Dark side early in his lonesome youth, and was a Storm Trooper for a short time. He based himself after Darth Vader, under whom he trained for a time, at the height of the Empire. Once it had become evident that the tides of the war had been irrevocably turned, he escaped the Death Star in a battle-scarred Tie Fighter, abandoning his mentor.
To Drakon's understanding, Luke had killed Vader, but after secretly enlisting for further training with the New Republic to assassinate him, he learned his true identity as Vader's son, and his world has been unraveling before him ever since. Jaded and guilt ridden for his crimes, he believes in little other than himself, and sees his current place in the New Academy as temporary. Having marveled at the history of the Sith, he constructed for himself a duel lightsaber similar to the lengendary Darth Maul's saber. However, he only uses one side of the crimson saber so as not to scare others or alert them of his past. He has no true mentor any longer. He is a recluse, steadily walking a thin rope between the Light Side and the Dark Side of The Force.

Drakon had been absent from yesterday's meeting. He was an apathetic soul, and a bit aimless, wanting nothing more than to completely focus on The Force within him. It was sort of his silent friend. Always there when he needed it, and never letting him down. It was the one thing that made him feel as if he had any control over the course of his life.
The other students could not cease discussing the meeting however, and he had picked it up on the thoughts of many. Master Luke and Leia had relayed an important message concerning a new threat from the Empire.
Life itself is a threat, he thought cynically. He showed up for the training this morning, not wanting make enemies out of his superiors. Authority did not seem to register to him. Only respect. He had a grudging respect for the elite of the Academy who possessed greater talent than he, but that was all. It was the same respect he had for Death. It was constant, and immutable. No Force could stop it, as no Force could keep Drakon from having superiors. It was a law of life to him.
The young jedi in training only watched and learned, and occasionally challenged the elite. He knew that he needed only patience to reach their levels, and that was the one virtue within him that was undeniable. He displayed it proudly as he waited silently at the training ground for everyone to appear. He was in black, blatantly dressed against code.
The next morning, Sha'ara came awake slowly, but easily. Even though she hadn't got much sleep the night before she didn't feel tired. She was excited to start the day, and jumped into the shower. She actually found herself singing and old old Bar Song, from before the Empire made it's presence felt.
She got dressed in her typical training clothes, stretchy tan pants, loose white scoopneck shirt and blue short shift-robe. She swung her utility belt around her waist and pulled on her knee-high flat boots, and jogged out the door. At a quick run she made it to the training grounds in virtually no time at all.
Spying Tawain, she ran over and smiled, "Ready for the day?"
Tawain smiled back.
"Sure, although I still feel like it should be last night."
Stiffling a yawn, he looked her over. He had never quite realized how beautiful she was...Tawain looked in the opposite direction to hide his blush. Was this a time for thoughts like that? Trying to hide his embarassment he said
"So, erm...do you have any idea what kind of advanced training Luke had prepared for us?"
"No idea! I'm excited about it though! I wonder if we'll get to go up against those battle droids soon!" She smiled at Tawain. After their early morning talk, she had been thinking about him an awful lot. She noticed that he looked at her funny and then blushed a little. "I hope he's not regretting the things he said last night, I'd hate for him to open up to me only to distance himself now." she thought.
"It's probably going to be a great deal of battle tactics and Force manipulations that you are not ready for, and will no doubt toil over endlessly in your pitiful attempts to resemble Jedi Knights", interrupted Drakon coldly as the two students arrived. He was sitting on a rock, arrogantly marveling at his masterpiece light saber, which was burning its red beam from one end.
My back stiffened at the harsh words behind us. I turned around and looked directly into the eyes of the jerk who just spoke, "Who was talking to you ... I certainly don't recall asking for your opinion." I looked at his glowing red light saber and got chills, but I still was not one to back down. I may have been a girl, but all that meant was that I had to fight a little harder. Besides, I knew Tawain had my back, if he didn't push me out of the way to get at the guy first. I really didn't want a fight, but sometimes arrogant idiots need to be put in their places.
Luke and I came in at that moment "Now that's the spirit but let's save that for the Empire when they arrive." said Luke as he steped between the students.
Tawain raised his eyebrow at the arrogant stranger. What bothered him more than the man's aloofness, though, was his sabre. It burned red, not the color most Jedi of the Light side chose, because most Sith had used red laser sabres. And the shape of the handle was strange, it was too long for a normal sabre...but more than that Tawain could not make out. Instead he forced himself to a cool answer:
"Well, we will se about that in a few moments."
Innerly though, he was shaking. Extreme test of force control...he had practically lost in advance, unless his control should stay for the day, which it had never done before...
Tawain felt somehow relieved when Luke arrived, but he could not shake off the uneasiness that this stranger had caused.
"Well Luke, see you in a minute then," he said, and walked off towards the inner training ground, murmuring to Sha'ara "Come on, we don't need to stay arround that self-important...whatever he is."
"Now that's the spirit! But, let's save that for the Empire..." I heard voices, and suddenly Zen and Luke were standing between this arrogant stranger and I. To be honest I was glad. I was shaking inside, and pulled Tawain to the side. "What just happened to me? I lost all Force control and lashed out at that guy?!" I was trembling with fear at the prospect of losing any kind of control. "And what is with that saber, I've never seen anything like it before... it gives me the chills."
My suspician grew as I saw his sabre and point out "That's a very different type of sabre you have there. It's style is very simular to the sith." Luke also noticed this but seemed more in control of his emotions then I was.
