". . . Master . . . ." Irina stared, her heart pounding in her chest. This was bad, very very bad. A swift glance told her all she needed to know. There was no way she could take on this many armed men, and her Master, and whoever was flying that damn ship AND protect everyone. Not even with Ramza helping. The odds were too heavily against them.
She glanced at Ramza, whispering, "Whatever happens from here on, love, just follow my lead. And remember that I truly love you, more than anything." Before he could respond, she stepped forward, head high.
"As usual, Master, you leave me little choice." Her voice came out cold and hard, straddling the thin line between sneering and respectful. "I do not, and will not, beg forgiveness from you. I surrender myself and the Jedi to you, and demand the release of my sister and the safety of my parents." Projecting more confidence than she felt in her heart - and knowing that he'd never been able to read her as easily as he could other people. "Else you should have send twice as many."
