The Empire encompasses many sentient species -- so why are all the military personnel human? Palpatine did not come to power on a human-supremacy platform.

It's fiction. Made by humans to be watched by humans. All of the characters in all entertainment productions are humans in various costumes. Or computer depictions of something created by humans.

Yeah, but at least Star Trek sometimes has at least nominal nonhumans in Starfleet.

Every one I ever saw wearing a uniform on board an Imperial ship was. Same with every Stormtrooper.

This was addressed in the second installment of the 1990's trilogy "Attack of the Clones." All the stormtroopers were originally created as clones of Jango Fett (Father of Boba Fett) on the planet Kamino, and trained there to serve as the Army of the Republic. Which later became the army of the empire, or in other words, the stormtroopers of the "Original" (1977-82) trilogy.

nope. it's far sillier than that. it's fucking star wars, man. it doesn't make sense and the emperor stopped using the clones after the end of the clone wars. why? just don't worry about it.

The Jedi weren't all human and they were a separate arm of the military of the Republic. As for the space forces of the Empire, the ships were built by humans for humans. The same as our ships of space are.

Well, and also the emporer was a human and it is likely that one of the doctrines of the empire was human supremacy. Much like most Earth-bound totalitarian regimes in Earth history were (and still are) often are based on the idea of one ethnic group or nationality being superior to or dominant over another. So, it makes sense that the empire favored humans over other races as superior and wanted their armies to be mostly humans.

Star Wars questions:

Why are people so hung up on a stupid film?

Why did anyone ever watch it to begin with?

Am I the only person over 6 years old that has never seen it?

If anyone calls you on any weird detail, just say it's from the Jedi Prince book series, which contains so much random incongruous stuff that even most Expanded Universe/Legends fans collectively agreed to forget about it decades ago.

so that explains space jam.

may the force be with you.

There's no Asia OR Europe there, so where'd they get all the Indo-European roots?

If you were really into SciFi, you'd know that life did not originate on Earth, but rather 'out there'. Indo-European roots have their roots in the great beyond. Whether you follow the Twelve Colonies, or the Minbari storylines, or any of how many others.

yeah, the ewoks are kind of dead, dude. you can thank the rebels for that.

Yes they will. They were about to eat Luke, Han, and Chewie. Then they gave them more advanced weapons and introduced them to space travel.

What's their motivation for universal domination? They were minding their own business. :)
