Star Wars: "Begun The Clone War Has." IC

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... it is the time of the Republic, about twenty-two years before the days of the Empire and the first Death Star battle station. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine leads the Republic, Mace Windu and Yoda lead the Jedi Council, and the start of the Clone Wars is still a few weeks way.



Jedi Temple

Kyle sat in on of the Temples many meditation rooms as he tried to make sense of the dream he had the night before. He sat with his legs crossed and his black Jedi robes wrapped around him. He was deep in meditation when he was disturbed by someone entering the room.
He opened his eyes and was surprised to see his old Jedi Master Plo Koon standing before him.
"Master, I didn't sense you coming." Kyle said starting to rise but stopped when Master Koon motioned for him to sit.

"That's quite alright Kyle. I can sense that something has been troubling you. May I ask what that is?" Master Koon asked sitting down in front of Kyle.

Kyle thought for a moment before he spoke. "Well last night I had a dream or a vision of the future, I'm not sure which." He said as he resumed his meditation pose. "The troubling thing is, I only get glimpses of it and I can't make sense of it."

"Ah I see. Even the most powerful of Masters have difficulty seeing the future with any clarity. " He said as he watched Kyle, "What is it that you see?"

"Well that's the worst part. I see myself, but something is different. I sense a dark aura around me." Kyle started to explain. "I see myself fighting against people I consider friends and allies."

"I understand why this would upset you Kyle, but I want you to remember that the future is not certain. What you saw could come to pass or it might not. You must follow the Force to guide you to your true path."

Kyle nodded as he listened to what Master Koon said to him, "Thank you Master. That will help me relax a little. I will meditate on what you have told me and perhaps I will be able to better under stand my vision." He said as he closed his eyes again.

Master Koon stood up and turned to leave but turned and faced Kyle again. "I sense that you will become a great Jedi if you follow your instincts. Let them lead you and you will find what you seek." He said before he turned and left.

Kyle closed his eyes once more and began to meditate again.

Alan Winters

Alan was leaning against the wall, in a shadowy corner of a club. The place was pretty crowded but not enought for him to lose sight of his target.

His target was sitting on a bar stool argung with the bartender about prices. "You pay now before you get another drink. You've already had five." said the bartender, a grey skined Duros, to the man.

"I have money. But will pay when I get me drink." said the man, obviously drunk.

Alan moved away from he wall and walked towards the man, "Then you had better have enough money for me once you pay him." he said in a low, but threatening voice.

The man turned around and glared at Alan, "Who're you?"

"My employeer, Vekker, sent me to collect your dept to him."

The man started to grow angry, "I'll pay him when I want to."

Alan sighed and drew lifted his blaster, "Vekker said that I either collect the money from you now, or I kill you."

The man's mouth twitched and he slowly turned away. Then, as quick as lightning, he spun around and lunged at Alan. Alan quickly dodged to the left took, aim at the man, and tried to pull the trigger, but was a second to late as the man knocked the blaster rifle out of Alan`s hands. He threw a punch at Alan's head, but Alan quickly countered with a force push, sending the man flying across the room to crash against the wall.

Alan slowly walked over to the fallen man and activated his lightsaber causing the entire club to go completely quiet. He pointed the tip of the blade towards the man neck and smiled behind his visor. "Who are you?" said the man in a fearful voice.

Alan cocked his head, "I'm a bounty hunter, but you may know me as the Fallen One." Then, with a flick of his wrist, Alan cut the man's throat, ending his life.

Illiana Tarnac

The Council could take so long sometimes to reach decisions. It had been three weeks since they had returned with the devastating news of her Masters death. She had not been present when his drop ship had been shot down on a routine mission. But for three weeks the Council had told her to be patient, that her future was uncertain, and for her to train as her Master had once taught her until a decision was made.

Would she be taken on and trained by another Master?
Would they grant her the title of a Jedi Knight, even though her training was not completed?
Or would her time at the Academy be brought to a close too soon?

The uncertainty was making it very difficult to remain patient.

Lily rested on a balcony rail, the bustling streets were miles below and the busy rush of traffic was loud in her ears. Without eyes she could not see how perilous her situation was. Each of her feet rested on a different side of the rail, as she practiced her concentration and balance in the splits position. Her thigh muscles straining to keep her body upright. Each of her hands were pushed flat together in front of her chest, her eyes bandaged, her body rigid and occasionally quivering.

Somewhere nearby someone was sending out waves of unrest, they moved through the building and washed over her subtly. By now they were rather weak, having dissipated on their travel down the hallway a great distance.

Lifting her gaze from an unseen spot on the city skyline miles across the open space, she turned her head towards where the worry was coming from. She was keenly in tune with the Force, and found using it to her advantage easier than the humans. From birth it had been her eyes. Where she faltered was in her patience and her self control. Tactics and strategy were where she needed training, along with refining her use of the dual light sabers that she preferred.

If the worry continued to waft down the halls, she would have to approach the one causing it. Because it was making it difficult to keep her balance, and although she couldn't see, she knew exactly what would happen if she tipped forward off her center of balance even a fraction. There was nothing out there to grab hold of, and the fall would take a good while before she impacted the ground.

Belic Fokkleev

The bar was dark and the night was late but people continuously flowed in. There was no one the Belic was interested in so he hung back behind his client's booth.

Belic was hired for the night to be a bodyguard for one of the bar's patrons but there seemed to be no point until a bounty hunter walked in and came right up to his client. Belic wasted no time and immediately pinned the hunter's arm behind his back and drew his Mandalorean combat knife.

"I suggest you walk away from my client unless you want to walk away without your hands. Your choice."

The hunter spun around and swung a wild haymaker at Belic's face. Belic dodges the wild swing and instantly jams the knife into the hunter's neck, spraying blood across the bar counter. The hunter instantly goes limp and Belic checks its pulse to find nothing.

Dropping the body, he turns to the client and says, "I believe I'm done for the night so if I could have my payment, I could be on my way."

His client nervously hands Belic the credits and runs off into the Coruscant night. Satisfied, Belic stalks out of the bar looking for anymore clients.

Alan crouched down and searched the body until he found the man credit chip. It would be enough evidence, for his employer, to show that he had completed the task.

He got up and walked over to the bar, pulled out a few credits, and handed them to the bartender, "Sorry about the mess." Then Alan turned away and headed out of the club.

Even though it was night outside, Coruscant was still as busy as it was in the daytime. Alan walked down several streets until he arrived at his destination. The place before him looked like any other club, but it wasn't, this club was the property of Borvo. Borvo was a Hut and like his distant cousin, Jaba, he was a gangster and crime lord.

Belic's personal comlink rang.

"What the... he thought. "Not many people know this code that means..."

He picked up the comm and listened. It was another client and an important one at that. He walked to another club. Checking the charges on his pistols and blaster rifle, he knocks on the back door of the Borvo's club.

Borvo had been pleased by Alan's success. "The slim is dead though I had hoped you could have brought him in." said Borvo in Huttese

Alan nodded, "I tried, but he wouldn't come along." Alan replied.

"Either way it's been dealt with. You'll receive your pay."

Alan smiled as he took the credits, then he walked off and sat down at a couch, determined to relax and enjoy the music and entertainment of the club.

Donald Kavar

He was curious as to why a Sith would track him, he never went out of his way to hunt Sith, just kill those that came close enough to him. Now this Sith clearly was an apprentice, his force signature was all over the place and that meant that a Sith master was either nearby or controlling the apprentice. Donald slipped into a bar and scanned the interior, he moved over to one of the leaders of a gang and placed a credit stick on the table.

"I heard that a Jedi are coming here to take out your gang, apparently he heard that you killed innocent people and he wants to stop you."

The gang leader looked at him and nodded, slipping the credit stick into a data pad, tapping away and then slid it back to him. Donald nodded and moved deeper into the bar, soon the Sith entered and Donald nodded again. Almost out of nowhere a barrage of fire flew at the Sith and cut him down, the only thing he had time to do was to activate his red light saber. Donald got up from his seat, he felt a pull on the Force and braced himself as a Force Wind came flying in through the door, knocking everyone back. He walked towards the door, activating one of the blades of his light saber as the Sith master stepped into the opening, his red blade already activated.

"So this is how you work rogue? I will take great pleasure in dispatching you."

Donald nodded and suddenly a grin spread over his features,

"So why is a Sith master and apprentice hunting me?"

The Sith master gave a cold smile,

"You really thought that killing stray Siths would not bring our attention to you? Maybe I should rather just capture you and turn you into my apprentice."

Donald chuckled,

"The Jedi could not handle me and neither would you be able to."

There was a jerk from the Force, but Donald easily countered it, the Sith master's eyes narrowed and then he rushed into the attack. Donald met him and sparks flew as the black and red blades collided, in a flurry of blows and parries it was clear that the Sith was quite adapt with his blade. During one of his attack sequences Donald released a torrent of Force Lightning, the Sith master caught the attack on his blade and parried the blow from Donald, but he wasn't ready when Donald activated the second blade and it sliced through his arm. The Sith master screamed, but that along with his life ended when a blade cut through his neck. Donald calmly deactivated his blades and without a word tossed the credit stick to the gang leader. They did their part, he had no further need for the money.

He left the bar and soon he was on his ship, ready to depart, there was nothing left here for him and there was a bounty out for a murderer, so perhaps there was something he could do to gain a few creds. After clearance he left the planet's atmosphere and moments later entered hyper drive.

Although subdued somewhat, several minutes later Lily was once again distracted by the unnerving waves of worry that made their way to her. Sighing, she slowly got down from her perch and stretched out her leg muscles. It had been at least twenty minutes of meditation in that position, so they felt nice and warmed up. Her hands gripped the railing as she breathed in the world one last time, her senses picking up how busy the world seemed.

Heading inside, she closed the door behind her, locking it. Her hands quickly found her cloak, and she pulled it over her shoulders, she flipped the hood up to cover her eyes. It shielded her forehead, eyes and the bridge of her nose from view. The room around her was black, the lights always off unless she had visitors.

As she concentrated she could make her way towards the side room which she used as a bedroom. On the bed were her weapons, along with wrap gauntlets. Since arriving at the Academy, they had provided her with standard training robes. She wore these now, clean cream white with the brown cloak and hood. Of course occasionally they had to advise her of small rips or stains on the fabric, she wasn't able to see that much, nor would find it important anyway. So it was now that she wrapped her belt around her waist and headed out into the hallway, that led in the direction of the now slightly more readable worry.

To some, her sense of the Force right now might seem as if she followed the wavering sound of people bickering, or of music playing. But the Force was silent, unless you knew how to listen and feel. Sometimes Lily was ignorant towards her abilities, and wondered why the humans and other non-Force sensitive races had such difficulty in classes that taught them these skills. When she felt it came naturally to her. Which it did.

Stopping outside of a door in the hallway, Lily paused for a moment. She couldn't remember exactly who lived here, but her best guess was Kyle. Her hand moved to press the button to alert the tenant of a visitor. Soon the door slid aside, maybe it was set to public, not private. Stepping into the room, she was less imposing than others, considering people didn't have to worry about her seeing them naked, or doing sensitive matters. But many still flamed up at her walking in. It was one reason she didn't want to take on the role of Jedi Consular in future, as her skills would make her a candidate to be a Jedi Seer. A boring life to her, she would prefer the combat.

Kyle MacLeod

Kyle was working on his light saber when his door beeped. He set down his tools and saber as the door slid open. He turned to see Illiana Tarnac, a gifted padawan who had a strong connection to the Force.

"Miss Tarnac, please come in and have a seat if you wish." Kyle said as he moved around the room and picked up some of the mess in his room. "I apologize for the mess but I've been a bit preoccupied lately."

Kyle finished picking up and moved over to the tabled and pulled out a chair for Lily and another for himself.

"So to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" He asked politely. Kyle knew the Lily was a gifted seer so he tried to calm his mind but his vision still nagged at him in the back of his mind. "And I am sorry for the loss of your master. I didn't know him personally but I know he was a great Jedi and he will be missed."

Illiana Tarnac

Moving forward to take a seat at his table, she ignored him cleaning up a little. It mattered not how he lived in the own privacy of his room. It could be as clean or as filthy as he wished, how did it effect her to which he chose. Bowing as she paused before taking a seat she placed her hands on the table top and folded them.

"Thank you, and not growing up noticing mess, cleaning for me is not a concern you need to have."

Smiling, she pulled her hood back and looked over towards him. There was much formality in his voice, but again, he was further along his path as a Jedi than she was. So the respect that she gave him was well due.

Although the mess of the room didn't come to her attention, the mess inside his mind was well apparent. Or at least that something worried him, she could not see specifics. As he mentioned her Master, she lowered her gaze again slightly. She would miss him greatly, as she owed him everything, her training and her survival so long. "He will be missed, but I will remember him and find his constant watch everlasting. It was more sad that he was denied a death worthy of his training and his rank. But I feel this was not a simple misunderstanding or accident."

Raising her gaze, if she had one, to his face again Lily smiled.

"But its not my distress that brings me here. You are worried it seems, and it has been disrupting my morning training for the past hour. Do you not sleep well? Or should I be more sensitive to private matters and leave you be."

Alan was enjoying himself. He was sitting on a couch between two females, a Twi'lek and a Rodian, who were leaning against him. He had also just received his pay, about 3,500 credits. And to top it off, he was enjoying the Club's music.

Alan was one of Borvo's top bounty hunters, and therefore, was famous and well like within the Club. His skills and training as a jedi had been a great benefit to all of this, which gave him a great degree of respect within the Club.

After an hour of relaxation, Borvo called to Alan, "Alan, I'm sorry to interrupt you while your enjoying yourself, but I have a favor to ask of you and I need someone with your background to do it."

Turning away from the female twi'lek, Alan nodded.

Borvo smiled, "A man named Ralph who owes me a lot of money, and he hasn't paid me back. When I sent someone to give him a warning, Ralph had fled. Now the reason I'm sending you, instead of another of my bounty hunters, is because Ralph is hoping to seek santuary at the Jedi Academy."

Alan tensed, which Borvo noticed, "I know, but it's important. This man has also killed one of my men. Anyways, my sources say that Ralph's ship about to arrive here at the nearby space port. If you head off soon, you might be able to catch him before he gets to the Academy."

Alan sighed and got up, "Yes Borvo. I'll do it. But just because I'm in a good mood today." Borvo smiled again, then went back to his buisness while Alan headed out of the Club and towards his target.

Aagh Koth

As the public transport came in for a landing on Coruscant, Aagh Koth looked over at the human man sitting next to him. The man’s name was Ralph and he was a money launderer from one of the worlds of the Outer Rim, doing work mostly for Borvo the Hutt. However, the man had been scammed recently by some thugs, and as a result, a lot of Borvo’s money had gone missing, with Ralph taking the blame. Fortunately for Ralph, the thugs had come to the attention of the mysterious Jodo Galak, and in the process of dealing with them in a terminal fashion, he had noticed Ralph and his plight.

Jodo had approached Ralph and offered him a deal: in exchange for arranging for the man get to Coruscant to start rebuilding his life with the aid of the Jedi and paying his debt to Borvo, Ralph would owe Jodo nothing more than a few favors in the future. And Jodo had arranged for a second-rate Duros bodyguard to escort Ralph to the Temple on Coruscant. However, that bodyguard happened to be Aagh in disguise, acting every bit the second-rate bodyguard he looked like, including occasionally taking a swig from a flask he carried opposite the blaster on his hip and a little drunken sway in his gait. The lightsaber that Aagh carried was nowhere to be seen.

Outside the terminal, Aagh looked around for a taxi but frowned when he saw none immediately available. The very fact that there weren’t any cabs when there should be a long line of waiting taxi’s outside a spaceport raised a few alarms in Aagh’s head, but he kept up his act, putting mild confusion and annoyance in his Force presence, which he kept at a level that would appear to any Force user to be no different than that of an average non-Force user. As his blue Duros head with an annoyed looking expression swiveled back and forth looking for a cab, Aagh made sure that he stayed close to Ralph, just in case someone tried to make a move.

“Now that don’t seem right, Mr. Ralph,” said Aagh in a backwater Duros accent after looking around a bit unsuccessfully. Even as he looked around and kept close to Ralph, he kept up his act, taking a swig from the hip flask and pacing a short distance to show off his supposedly buzzed condition. “There being no taxis and all waiting at a spaceport on a planet like Coruscant. What’dya think we should do now?”

Alan had paid the local transportation system so they wouldn't send any transports to the space port. The bribe had cost a lot, but after some intimadation, they had agreed.

Hiding amongst a small crowd of people, Alan watch as his target, Ralph, exited the space port. Everything was working out as planned, his target had arrived and was now out in the open. There was another person with him, but he wasn't familiar to Alan. Was he a bodyguard to Ralph, a friend, or just a stranger. Either way, as long as he didn't interfer, Alan wouldn't bother with him.

Drawing his blaster rifle, emerged from the crowd, and walked over to Ralph. When he was ten paces away, Alan called out to Ralph, "Ralph Omduil. Stop right there."

Kyle smiled at Lilys remark about his cleaning as he sat down next to the table.

"I suppose its not, but I still feel better knowing that my room is mostly clean." He said as he picked his saber up and inspected it. "I agree that there were some questions about your Master supposed accident. Something never felt right about it from the beginning."

Kyle set his saber down on the table when Lily asked him about what was distressing him. He looked at her for a moment before he spoke.

"I apologize for disturbing you. I tried to calm my mind but I must not have done so well." Kyle said to her as he fiddled with his saber, "I haven't slept well for the past few days due to a dream or vision I've been having. I tried meditating to sort it out but it didn't help. It just keeps nagging at me and I'm unsure of how to proceed."

Kyle rose from his seat and walked to the window in his room that looked out onto Coruscants busy skyways.

"Its all a giant puzzle and I dont even have all the pieces of it."

Illiana Tarnac

Following his footsteps with her head, she watched him move to the window and sighed. Dreams were often puzzles that were your deep subconscious trying to tell you something. A warning, a fear, a hope or simply something to get you thinking. From the level of worry, she could tell it was the bad type.

"Think on it, only through dissecting its meaning will you come to terms with it. There is a reason you are having this dream, and a message is held somewhere within it. You only need find it. Luckily, although you are a mere bystander watching it, there is little danger in dreaming. The danger comes if you disregard the warnings foretold within them."

Clearing her throat, she excused herself from the table and moved over to stand at his side.

"I'll be so bold and speak freely," she turned to look at him, if her eyes were visible then they would be staring into his. But instead, she merely seemed to look his way, the blindfold and some plump lips on a pale face. But she was keenly assessing his temperament, trying to sense what the topic of his dreams might be about.

"I sense inner torment about your future path, as uncertain as it is. You are worried enough about your strength and ability to remain pure of heart and to walk on the Light side of the Force. You sense temptation deep down at the power the Dark side could present. And this temptation is what has sprouted the fears that you may fall victim to the pull of the Dark. Simply put."

Reaching up, she placed a hand flat on the side of his head and bowed her own slightly.

"I do not sense evil within you, nor do I doubt the strength that you possess. These fears plague anyone in your position, and I sense you have a typically skeptical and analytical way of seeing problems. You just need to train your mind to repel the temptation, and strengthen your trust and loyalty to the Light. Nothing within you is capable of turning you, as long as you remain strong against its pull. Trust your teaching, and trust your belief in the Light. The Council is aware of these temptations in all its Jedi, and I sense they believe it's an individuals trial to solve the problem. A life long one. And the Force will lead you in whatever direction you are meant to go."

Stepping back, she raised her gaze before turning back towards the Coruscant skyline.

"Don't be blind in the face of temptation, but do not give it more time than you need to repel it. Master Dodeen spoke of this to me often. I believe his worries were due to my races natural alignment with the Dark side."

"Ralph Omduil. Stop right there."

Both Ralph and Aagh turned at the voice to see its owner, a human male just a bit shorter than Aagh, but armed to the teeth with a drawn blaster rifle, body armor, what appeared to be a thermal detonator. And a lightsaber hanging from his belt.

A quick check of the man’s presence in the Force revealed that he was a Force sensitive and that he had a measure of control. And if the man had control of the Force, then it was possible that he knew how to use that lightsaber. It was a good thing that Aagh had made a habit of the precautions he took or else it was possible that this bounty hunter would have suspected Aagh to be a Jedi.

It may have been awhile since Aagh had last been on Coruscant, but he would have heard about this lightsaber wielding bounty hunter if he had been around long. So it seemed that this guy was relatively new to the criminal underworld, either that or he’s been held back from fame by his employer, Borvo the Hutt.

The crowd had scattered immediately when it became obvious that there might be a confrontation involving blasters, but Aagh had stayed put next to Ralph, making it obvious that he wasn’t just some stranger.

“Borvo sent you?” asked Ralph, raising his hands up. “Tell him that my debt with him is settled. If he questions it, he can ask Jodo Galak.”

Even if the bounty hunter was new to the game, he would have heard the name Jodo Galak before, and he would know that it was not a name you dropped casually.

Jenica Verasx

Jenica had finally finished her Trials of Knighthood. They had been long and difficult. Tomorrow would be the day she would have her Knighting Ceremony. She was on her way to the Tranquillity Spire to meditate for the day. The Tranquillity Spire was the most sacred location in the Jedi Temple. During her time in the Spire she was to search for her future path. There were many meditation chambers within the Spire. They were directly below the Hall of Knighthood where she would have her Knighting ceremony the next day.

There was a long climb up the stairs to the chambers. She noticed a contemplative atomsphere in the temple. She climbed all the stairs until she was at the top. She exited the staircase and observed her surroundings. There were many people in robes up here. They were observing holocrons and ancient records. She realized that she was in the Pinnacle Chamber. The meditation chambers were two floors down. She went to the staircase and slowly walked down two floors. As she exited the staircase she noticed that there were entrances to many small circular rooms. Some of the doors were closed. She figured that the ones with their doors shut were already occupied by another Jedi. She went into a room with its door open. She shut the door for privacy. After that she sat down in the center of the room, closed her eyes, and assumed her meditation position.

Alan glared at Ralph behind his helmet, "You may be speaking the truth, but I can't just walk away and ask Borvo. You could be lying and the second I leave, you'll make a run for it."

Alan glanced at the man standing next to Ralph who hadn't moved. So he was probably a bodyguard or guide. "This doesn't concern you citizen, I have no wish to harm you."

He lowered his blaster, just a little, and spoke in a lower, but calm voice addressed Ralph, "I need you to come with me and speak to Borvo himself."

"You may be speaking the truth, but I can't just walk away and ask Borvo. You could be lying and the second I leave, you'll make a run for it. This doesn't concern you citizen, I have no wish to harm you. I need you to come with me and speak to Borvo himself."

“Actually,” said Aagh, holding up a finger of his gun hand as if asking for a brief pause as he took a swig from his flask in the other hand. He then seemed to stumble a little, but recovered as he took a few steps forward in the bounty hunter’s general direction. “As Mr. Omduil’s bodyguard, I’ve been hired to make shure he gets to the Jedi Temple, so this situation does concern me. But where he goes between here and there ish up to Mr. Omduil.”

It seemed that Aagh’s drunken state had gotten worse, because now he was tripping over his own feet, slurring his speech slightly, and seemed a bit unsteady, as he wobbled and recovered several times, each time bringing himself a little bit closer to the bounty hunter. There was nothing in Aagh’s movement and Force presence that would tip off the bounty hunter to the true purpose behind the ruse that Aagh had concocted. In fact, it simply looked like Aagh was getting out of the way in case things turned ugly and his Force presence indicated that he was indeed drunk.

“No, I’m not going to Borvo’s. I know that if I go in there, Borvo isn’t going to let me leave with my life. Let’s go Baniss,” said Ralph, referring to Aagh’s cover name as a Duros, sounding less than confident in his chances, especially given what appeared to be his bodyguard abandoning him.

At this point, as Ralph turned to walk away to try to find an alternate means of transport, Aagh had gotten to just outside of arm’s reach of the bounty hunter, in a position where in order to face Aagh, the man would have to turn ninety degrees. Aagh felt that he was in a good position to intervene if the bounty hunter made a move, and with the act that he had been putting up, he should have the element of surprise.

Aagh was ready to make his move as necessary, as he hesitated to see what the bounty hunter would do. If the man brought his blaster rifle up to take a shot at Ralph or Aagh, Aagh would lunge in with more than perfectly sober reflexes, grab the rifle to disarm the man, while at the same time delivering a swift kick to the side of one of the man’s knees, a blow that had the potential to render that knee useless until it was set back in place and braced. Whether the bounty hunter somehow managed to avoid the blow to the knee despite the element of surprise or not, Aagh would then take the blaster rifle and deliver a knockout blow to the side of the man's head.

If the bounty hunter chose to do nothing and let Ralph go, then Aagh would simply drunkenly shuffle off to follow Ralph.

Alan sighed. He'd have to report this to Borvo but he also wanted to know what was going on. He was going to bring Ralph down, one way or another.

Nodding, he turned and left, heading down an alley and vanished from there view.

Dylan Cosgrove

Dylan Cosgrove tapped on her dashboard. Did he get my message? I hope he did, she thought, I need to know he won't try to meet me. Gallax Jinkins, a human male and Jedi, always found himself infatuated with her. They met often, but tonight, she couldn't make it.

It wasn't her fault that she was a bounty hunter; she could just kill silently. The Hutt family had asked of her services before. Why tonight? Why can't I get him out of my head?

"Dylan," a voice whispered behind her. It sounded male, she sensed. There was a familiar part to the voice however. Grabbing the blaster at her hip, she turned around. "Do you think I would hurt you?" she called out. No one was there. "Dylan..." came the whisper again. "Show yourself!" Dylan demanded.

The empty cockpit of Babe II soon revealed an Alderaanian. "I am Exelx. And... I am your partner for this mission. The Hutt have not trusted you with this alone," he whispered, his blue eyes glistening with mischief.

"That bit was pretty cool," Dylan commented. "Thanks. I worked hard on it."
"So, who's the target?" "We have a Jedi," Exelx muttered. "Jedi?" Dylan whispered in fear. "A Gallax Jinkins. 10 million credits. He's screwed the Hutts over in many ways," Exlex said.

Dylan groaned in heartbreak. Figures.

Kyle Macleod

Kyle watched the traffic fly by as Lily spoke to him. He remained silent but listened intently to her words. Her heard her clear her throat so her turned to look at her as she walked up to him. He nodded to her to let her know he welcomed her opinion. He looked at her face and even though she had no eyes he could feel her looking straight at him as she spoke.

He continued to listen quietly and made no move as she placed a hand on his face. Kyle felt some of his nervousness fade as he listened to Lilys wise words. As she turned away and looked out the window Kyle continued to look at her a moment before he turned back to the window as well.

"Your words are wise beyond your years Miss Tarnac, your master taught you very well." He said gazing out the window. "You have given me a sense of calm I have not felt in many days and I thank you for that. I sense that you have a bright future ahead of you and I hope a new master is chosen quickly for you so you can develop your talent further."

Donald Kavar

The hit was done, much faster than he had expected. The fool attacked him the moment he heard about the bounty, perhaps there was some good fortune after all. He silently made his way back to the starport, there was something wrong on this planet, it was not Sith, but it was dark and very powerful. Donald was not a weak minded man nor a coward, but he knew a lost cause when he saw one and trying to find the source of this power would be such an act. It would definitely not turn you instantly, but make you doubt yourself, your believes and when you venture close enough, it may even corrupt you. Donald didn't want anything to do with that...well not alone.

He entered his ship and started the start up sequence, he had to get away, the only safe planet that came to mind was Coruscant and that was where he charted his route to. Maybe he will even tell the Jedi about this, but if they would believe him, that was the other question.

Illiana Tarnac

Smiling, Illiana folded her hands into her sleeves and thought on his words for a short time. It seemed as though Kyle had calmed down, as the waves seemed to ease off a little, not completely, but mastering ones emotions would take an entire lifetime. "Thank you, it feels good to know my words are accepted and that I didn't overstep my...bindings..." Frowning, most of her puzzled expression was covered by her bandages, but her sort of quizzical pout showed through plainly enough. "I believe that is how you say it."

The saying in itself always confused her. Why would someone tied up feel anything in the way of regret for freeing themselves. Human sayings were often lost on her.

Turning back to him, she bowed her head to him and smiled again.

"I better leave you to finish your meditation, and I will return to mine. I look forward to hearing if my new master has been chosen, and find my patience strained, even if I know remaining patient with the council is a must. If you ever need to talk, or to train...my door is usually always open."

With that, she turned and carefully made her way back towards the door and with a glance back exited the room. It wasn't long before she met someone else, who carried useful news.
