Stalkers -

Was stalked by someone for several mths and reported them 3.25. Blocked them in chat & forums. They sent me abusive message via lit feedback last time in oct 25 to my gmail address.

They tell me of lots of vile and disgustng thing they want to do to me. It sicken me so i block anonymous and in nov 25 all feedback as stalker has multiple name on lit i think. I also report them via profile.

They update and re follow me again in nov 25 earlier this week and make an meme icon claiming i favourited them though i did not and the blue tick box clearly show i do not favourite or follow them.

The stalker is also on my gmail now. Wrote to lit webmaster this week.

Please help stop this person tracking and abusing me i beg you.

I am contacting you at tech support on advice from a forum moderator who cannot help as the stalker has stopped in forum now stalker, he is blocked there.

The stalker also has other alias - i think up to 3 showing as followers on his profile. I warn one of the followers about the stalker and got some rude stuff back so i suspect is not another person but i do not know.

I would love a blocking option for people. Ignore works to the extent that it can, but there are bad players on this site and worse. Tools for blocking, removing “followers, and removing reacts would be wonderful.

Oh Meli, I’m so sorry to read of your issues with this guy. It’s hard enough being a girl without idiots like that. I’ve followed your work since I joined lit, it would be a shame if you allowed this to deter you from contributing to the forums.

Thank you both Quip and To Please Him for the practical action. Thank you all for sympathy and support. I am going to be quiet for a bit and keep the self to the self.

This and, much, much more so, the very recent severe illness of my dearly. dearly loved dominant daddy-Sir are driving me to the very dark place in the mind.

Those tools would be great, but they would be useless without proper verification on sign-up.

As in real life, we need to sadly accept a certain level of unpleasantness from the uncouth. But I would think that something could be done about the persistant and personal episodes of stalking I hear about.

the stalker he is back with another name and is contacting me in this last hour having rejoined on Friday. He is probs to read this thread and subscribed to it

no matter how many times the names are banned he will come back obsessive and over the shoulder.

so after 7 year I have to go - i love the forums - making them sweeter perhaps with the silly verse and loved the poem writing and though the chat is cruel and mean to women a lot there are some darling people there.

Sad to see you go Meli, it’s a great loss to lit, and to me personally. I’ve always had the greatest respect for your posts, and I’ve really enjoyed your poems.

Your leaving will leave us the poorer, and put a big hole in both lit, and in my personal pleasure at your whimsical ways.

Think I said this on another thread, but for those wanting to reduce the ability of assholes to creep on you thread to thread - you can prevent them seeing your activity by only allowing those you follow to see that, and you can do the same for receiving dms
Even if it means you follow more people and/ or have less interaction, I’ve found it seemed to significantly reduce the creepy comments and messages
It’s far from a complete solution, but it’s something
