does anyone know how to get oil stains out of a leather coat?
All suggestions welcome

Maybe a dry cleaning company? They got the A1 sauce out of mine, but it was about a 100 I think.

You could use neet's foot oil to condition the whole thing. The jacket could probably use it, and it will even out the stains. I'm assuming you don't mean motor oil, right? If you do, my previous advice is null and void.

Need more info....colour of leather and type of oil ?

its a light brown and it was motor oil.
my nephew thought it was a washclothe and wiped his hands on it. The dry cleaner said it would be about 50 to clean it but didnt know if it could happen.

But how many neets do they kill to get all that oil, hm? I mean, they don't have very big feet, after all ;)

Damned freaky vegan animal activists. If she was so concerned about neet's feet, do ya think she'd be wearing a leather jacket? Sheesh!

Well, I looked 'em up first, and unlike cows (which can be used in other ways once the jackets are harvested off of 'em) it turns out neets are only about 3 cm tall, and that they just throw away the rest of the carcass in the nearest landfill. How cruel is that?

Got a custom boot shop in your area?

I'm a motorcyclist, a sportbiker to be exact. I've got lots of leather jackets, gloves, and boots in lots of different colors. I have had good luck taking my stuff to a guy with a small custom boot shop. One of my favorite armored jackets is red and white with black accents. I got dirty chain lube on it, very heavy and very black.

I took it to the shop to have a shoulder repaired after a crash, and I asked him to see what he could do about the chain lube stains on the white leather. When I got the jacket back, he had redyed the red to match the new shoulder, and the stains were ALMOST gone off the white. I knew where to look, but at a glance it's hard to tell that it was ever stained.

And, to top it off, the charge was only $70.00, repair and all! A good leather guy might be able to get it completely off a light brown jacket.
