"If you look at the report, it's clear it's a referral to Congress to begin impeachment proceedings. That was the only choice left to Mueller after the restrictions placed on him by DOJ policy," J.W. Verret told CNN's John Berman Thursday on "New Day."

"There's more than enough here to get that started," he added.

For those wondering, for ten years Verret worked on GOP transition teams, and served as deputy director of economic policy on the Trump presidential transition team.

He said that the Mueller report was the "tipping point" for him to transition from a "pragmatist about Trump to advocate for his impeachment."

Even more interesting, members of the current regime are using back channels to congratulate Verret for his speaking out about impeachment.

"I'll just say most of them say, 'We're glad you're doing what you're doing, we're proud of you.' "

Most members of Congress know the impeachment effort is a waste of time and effort. Even if the House voted to impeach, which is very unlikely, the Senate would never convict. However, there are a few people who are grandstanding and pushing for impeachment.

The next time a Dem. becomes POTUS, there will be GOP members of the House calling for impeachment the day after the inauguration.
