Staatsburg, 1941: Casting Call

Okay, since my other threads are stillborn in some cases, I will make another attempt. This one is set in 1941, in both Staatsburg, Germany (a fictitious town in East Prussia) and Volganov, Byelorussia (another fictitious town some mere 50 kilometers away). The residents have no idea of each other's lives, but their paths are going to cross anyway. That's the idea for the roleplay. Sex, intrigue, violence, war, politics, etc.

My Character: Captain Sergei Alexeyevich Bukov of the Red Army. He is the local company commander in Volganov, a small town that depends largely on the nearby collective farm for its livelihood. He is a committed Communist, though he sometimes has doubts about the purges and the pact with Hitler.

The story begins on June 22, 1941, when Operation Barbarossa begins and the first German troops pour over the border into the USSR.

Frieda is a psychologist working for the nazi's and has been sent along to analyze the Russians and determine a scientific psychological proof that they are inferior. She had doubts about this even being possible, especially given that she had begun to think that minds were probably not to different from massively complex Enigma machines, and thus differeces were probably trivial. However she keeps thos opinions to herself, and instead produces papers showing slight statistical differences in the behavior of the Russian people.

Yes, Bukov is a hulking giant of a man, but not a brute. He is just a naturally large man, which makes him impressive to his subordinates and equals in rank. Even his political Commissar is intimidated. He is a fiercely brave and loyal Soviet soldier, a true adherent of Marx and Lenin, and also a secret sympathizer with the purged officers like Mikhail Tukhachevski, the Russian tank strategist. However, Stalin is still better than the capitalists in his opinion, and he is the leader of the Soviet state, so he follows Stalin's orders faithfully.

A Captain in a motorized infantry unit, I left my mistress in her bed in time to mobilize at midnight as ordered for the attack at 4 AM. We stormed across the border meeting little resistance, and at daylight the Luftwaffe and our Stuka dive bombers cleared the way for our troops as we quickly rounded up and shot the Russian militia as we covered a great distance.

Behind us the SS with their special units sought oiut the Juden and forced them to dig their own massive grave and then lined them up and shot them. Men, women and children were eliminated, upsetting many of my men but we were there to do our duty to the Fatherland

At dusk we set up camp for the night and I filed a report to the Herr Major commanding our Battalion, and several of us cruised the town seeking out a nice Russian woman to make our whore for the night.

Pounding on a door, a man answered and we shot him on sight, and several of us took turns fucking his wife while the children watched, and at dawn we shot her too and left.

Commander Nigel Brooke, English SAS operative, deep undercover in Straatsburg

Sent by his superiors to infiltrate the area and gather intelligence on both the invading German forces and the Soviet defenders, Brooke is one of scores of SAS agents working in the general area. Their mission up to this point was to plant ideas and thoughts in the minds of the Soviets. Churchill was convinced that Germany would lose this horrible war more quickly if they were isolated. Churchill trusted Stalin no further than he could throw a tank, but he figured defeating Hitler was the first priority, and he would handle “Uncle Joe” later.

Brooke and his SAS cohorts working around the area had the job of germinating the idea that any kind of treaty or non-aggression pact with Hitler was a folly. Suddenly, as the German forces overran the area, the dreaded Luftwaffe overhead, his mission was pointless. He would no longer have to convince his new Soviet allies of Nazi treachery.

Nigel would, however, have to think about how he would survive his new predicament.

One of the youngest Majors in the Nazi army. When Operation Barbarossa on June 22nd on 1921, David was assigned to Single covert operations to assult Volganov, he would be alone in the mission. There would be other troops in both towns. But they were ordered to maintain radio silence and try to avoid eachother if at all possible.

Kuylevin is a young sniper. One of the best in the red army. He is a comitted communist and will do everything to protect his homeland from the Nazi invasion. The Nazi betrayal did not really surprise him as Nazi´s ain´t communists and he really don´t trust anyone that ain´t communists. Kuylevin don´t enjoy killing, it is just part of his job and he have no regret in doing it. In his mind, if killing Nazi´s will quicken the war he will do it with no objection.

Im just not sure how to continue with my char. David is just all over the town. Mika have no chance against a Rambo. Mika is just a sniper, not a one man army.

Let's hope he's not. I'd rather that no one kills any of the players. Wound, shoot, etc. But not kill or any way permanently from the game action. That would defeat the
RP, even if it is more realistic.

And no more Rambos. Heroes, yes. Brave men and women, yes. Invincible soldiers and such roaming everywhere, killing everyone, no.

And we need more Germans. If need be, I can play a German too.

I don´t really know how to continue anyway. Mika is wounded in his right arm after David spotted his sniper position on the second floor in a building. David was busy with a hysterical woman at the time. The woman blocked Mika´s view to get a shot at David. David somehow saw Mika in the window and shot 2 shots at Mika. He hit Mika in the arm. A great shot by the way. Not many that would hit so easily hehe. But ok i played along with that. Mika sneaked out the backdoor of the building. Out in the backvalley. David spotted Mika´s silhouette through a building but ok i went with that as well. David then as i understand it run wildly firing his hand gun through the streets holding a hostage at the time untill he throws a grenade at the Captain. Then somehow he stumbles in the building where Mika and Sharinfantasies character are.

I pretty much don´t know how Mika should react.

If possible, either perhaps send him to the rear as a non-combatant of some kind or create a new character then. I am trying not to lose players.

Transferred from the SA to the SS in time to avoid the 1934 purge. A street thug and WW1 veteran who never rose up above Sergeant in the Kaiser's Army or the Freikorps. A militant Nazi, he joined the party in the late 20s because he was tired of being unemployed after the war. A former teacher, he lost his private school job when it cut non-tenured staff in 1921. He never managed to get rehired before the Depression destroyed any chances of employment anyway. Originally attracted to the vague promises of order, prosperity, and national prestige, he became fanatically devoted to Hitler. No fan of the Jews, he was a soldier, not a butcher, so he wasn't involved in the anti-Semitic campaigns. Then again, he didn't lose too much sleep over the Nuremberg Laws or Kristallnacht.
