Naruto--Ten Years later (OOC and casting call)

actually, it works like this. Chi and Ki are two different energies...Ki is mind...Chi is body. If you'd ever played Golden Sun, that would have occurred to you. in one of the two games, you meet a guy at a Monastery. The master of the monastery explains the difference.

My understanding is that Chi in Chinese is a word meaning some sort of spiritual energy. There could however also be a Japanese Kanji which makes the same sound.
Yep. Most Chinese characters exist in Japanese in different pronounciations, but keeping the same meaning as per the kanji.

Kisame's name means "demon shark" - "ki" kanji is "demon" and "same" kanji is "shark." It has to be read this way, otherwise split up, the kanji would be pronounced differently. So, if it were "chisame," it'd be totally different.

though admittedly, I'm unsure of the origin of the game. Judging from the distinctly Chinese feel and references, I'd have to say it came from a Chinese writer, at the least. Though there's also reference to the lost continent of Lemuria or Mu, and other things from other cultures

First game.

I must say I was pissed when I beat the first game. Partly because I thought I was only part way threw and party because it ended with a to be continued.

Although its been a very long time I also think you have the two forces backwards.

no

please....don't even consider the concept.

the explanation is as follows:

"What this traveller did LOOKED like Chi, strength of Body, but it was actually Ki, strength of Mind." or something to that effect. even the word Chi means Body in whatever language it originated in. DBZ, however, screwed it up royally by saying that Goku and the others were using Ki, when they were clearly using Chi (no mental powers being used by any of them, except Chiaotzu and the Namek, and the Kais, who used telepathy)

I am going to think for a bit before replying IC. Perhaps a practice I should do more often.

To most people Ki and chi are the same, although I try to make the disinction ever sense playing golden sun. I still am not sure where Chakra fits in however, and thats had me puzzled.

that's a bit easier. Ki is force of mind, Chi strength of body...so Chakra would be the very life force of your body, i'd say

That was my first thoughts. But were as ki is limitless, chakra and chi are limited. The results of reaching that limit is exhaustion and possibly even death. So if the symptyms are the same does that mean the cause is the same.

Energy of life and energy of the body are they really that difrnet?

Also any suggestions to keep anji form dieing, and Tsuki from killing Tak.

um...well, as for anji, the obvious is get him out of the water. in the fight with Itachi, Itachi used a move that would have easily resulted in someone flung out of the water if they didn't protect themselves (Kakashi used Water Wall almost too late, barely managing to catch four Water Shambons with it

The trouble is Sonia doesn't have a very large variety of ninjitsu. I am also debating if the river has a muddy bottom, but that might be to much thought.

Tsuki isn't gonna KILl tack . . just . maim him. :p

Actually, this works out to be a little more advanetgeous to getting ehr toward some character development and plot points I had in mind.

Since evrything that happens while she has no memory effects how she will react to the memoriesd coming back and the end product of good vs. evil.

Well I posted but the best solution I found to keep anji from drowning was for him to hit bottom and do one of his super jumps.
