Hello all.

I'm new to the site, and to discussion of BDSM.

My question is about acceptable subjects for writing on the site and forums. I hold that it is ok to fantasise about anything whether or not you would ever want to do it.

The guildlines stipulate no minors or animals in writing, and I can see their point for practical reasons, and because no one wants to attract paedophiles or paedo-baiters.

But apart from that how do people here feel about writing involving serious injury..death..other strong themes?

You know, literotica used to have a section called "extreme" for that sort of thing... actually it linked to a site that wasn't part of literotica. Now the link is no longer there.

I think lit is trying to cover their bases as far as what they will and will not be held responsible for.

That said, I often think that "strong themes" make for the best stories. You might at least try submitting your work just so we all have a chance to read it some day.

As long as the strong themes are realistic, then i see no problem. It is my choice to read it or not, so if i find it offensive, i won't read it. If the story is well written, even with strong themes, i might be intrigued enough to read on.

i think your question seems to be one for the Authors Board or the Story Ideas board. Good luck.

It looks like there's the odd thing in Erotic Horror

sometimes, fantasty comes across as a phenomonal story, even though it might be dangerous in reality. i actually wrote a story for the extreme section before it was taken down. stories are different from visual pornography because of the lack of limits that exist in the written word. no models have to be convinced, no lighting has to be positioned - it's all perfect and anything's possible.

Hi Text,

Stories with an excess of violence and/or too little sex, may not be accepted at Lit. That's the general rule.

You may dress it up as horror or sci fi, however!

As youre aware, SSC is a slogan regarding practice of bdsm. It's not a criterion of acceptance at lit. For instance, *in a story* a wife can get fucked by 20 strangers, and have no disease of pregnancy. Some 'nonconsent' (literotica category) stories have no consent, though in most, it's implied, or the point is fudged.

Yeh, cool.

Also getting an idea of what people think. I have been surprised by how tolerance can hit a brick wall with certain things.
