We've all had it happen, an SRP that was abandoned or strayed from our tastes. In some cases, life got in the way for our co-writer or they found contentment in RL.

So what have you done in the past? Solicited a substitute, or started another similar SRP? I wonder, as I have two I would like to revive, either as new or as continuations.

I've seen a few use the same premise for a multitude of similar threads. Any suggestions?

My personal taste runs toward starting over. This gives your new co-writer a chance to put their own flair into the character rather than having to fall in with whatever your old co-writer had produced. A good example of this is Sir and I. We were talking one day about one of his old threads that became abandoned. He and I started it all over again. This provided me with an opportunity to write the character(s)as my own instead of having to fill something someone else started.

Personally, with my thread ideas that have fallen by the wayside, I have chosen to restart them with someone new. Again, it gives my co-writer the opportunity to stamp his own personal style into the character.
