Squirrell Season

When does squirrell season open here on lit? I've cleaned the 410 and have started the hand loader up. How many shells will I need? I see a lot of targets.

Try using a 45/70 Government Issue Buffalo rifle. It is so funny when ya blast them and all that is left is a piece of their tail float to the ground.

I just don't like creatures that go around cracking nuts with there teeth.

You don't need a big bullet to get the same effect. A .270 Winchectter will accomplish the same thing without bruising your shoulder. In fact, for chipmunks, it doesn't even leave the tail. I've checked my sights several times on chipmunks, and the only one I could find anything from, was one I missed. (killed him with a rock splinter.)

Now, I'm not sure when the season opens, but I know I prefer a .38 special as my weapon of choice.

Squirrel brains are actually quite tasty roasted on the open flame that you rotesierre the squirrel on. an interesting note the same way hagus is made with sheeps guts in Scotland, there is a recipe for Squirrel hagus , but not tear as tasty by far.
