It's five-thirty in the morning, and the dawn chorus is at its' height.
All the birds are perched, and singing for a mate.

I can hear blue tits, black birds, finches, thushes, robins, wood pigeons, song thrush... And the barking of foxes.

Perfect morning.

It's now five-fourty five and i can hear all this as well. Included in the chorus I can hear a great tit and our resident tawny owl.

Our owls are barn. Not very vocal at this time. But hearing the chorus as we start the day is wonderful.

 Even without the barn owl, it's beautiful, and a specific sound scape you can't hear any where else in the world.

That it is. Quite frequently I will lay with the window open just listening to the birdsong and the squirrels arguing with them.
