So those of us with spring allergy issues may find this article from the Mother Nature Network interesting and even useful!

10 foods that fight spring allergies
Work vitamin C-rich foods (like citrus and broccoli) into your diet and turn to stinging nettle as a potent natural form of allergy relief.

Thanks to climate change, every allergy season is the worst allergy season ever. Warmer temperatures have led to earlier springs and longer allergy seasons, while higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have led to more potent and allergenic pollen.

This year is no different. A mild winter — the fourth-warmest on record — means that trees have started budding and releasing pollen earlier. While that certainly bodes well for birds and cherry-blossom festivals, it could leave you feeling miserable if you suffer from spring allergies. The good news is that natural allergy relief is within an arm's reach of your refrigerator: Foods rich in vitamin C and folic acid help reduce the inflammation associated with allergic reactions, and studies are finding that some herbs are just as effective as expensive drugs.

Grab your grocery cart and stock your produce bin with these 10 natural allergy remedies:
You'll have to click the link in the headline above to find the ten remedies. I like and eat at least five of them... and I'm a pretty picky eater.

Also...Allegra. :D

I'm allergic to soooo much. When I had my allergy test done years ago, the nurse (someone I went to high school with, though she was several years older than me) said she'd never *seen* someone react as badly as I did. So, yeah, I know all about the allergy stuff.

My allergies are worse in the fall, for some reason, but spring can get rough, too. I hope everybody else with allergy problems has a not-too-sneezy spring. :rose:

I learned recently that if you can get locally harvested raw honey and add it into your diet it can help as well...and it is yummy!

There are many links to more info, but here is one to get you started in case you are curious to learn more. :)

True, honey being bacteriostatic and bactericidel is really good for the post nasal drip and ensuing congestion. I myself will rotate allergy meds like claritin, Zertec, and sometimes Benadryl. I've tried all sorts of homeopathic alternatives and nothing works for me.
Kettle fried kale with sea salt is awesome.
