Off to one side of my house, is a large bush that signals the beginning of spring and autumn with perfect accuracy. Late in the year, it sheds all of its leaves in two days while the leaves on the deciduous trees nearby are just starting change color. The summertime heat disappears, and the days are cool and the nights chilly. Winter sets in, and stays set, until the bush sprouts its first white flower. I've been keeping my eye on the bush since the end of January. The first flower appeared this morning. Now the days will be balmy and the nights pleasantly cool. The nearby trees are still winter grey, and will remain so for another month, but winter itself is gone until the bush sheds its leaves again.

I've been wondering about that bush, wondering if there is some sort of legend connected to it. What do you think?

Legends are ....

... made of bushes like this, as you infer and if not let's make one.
It begins:

Once upon a time in a land far away there was a bush they called 'The Summer Bush' it was beautiful ....

You take it from there.
