First, I'd like to bring up Jill Sobule. You'd most likely know her from her 2 singles, many years ago, "Supermodel" and "I Kissed a Girl".

She sounds like if Lori Petty sang. Her stuff tends to be fairly melodic occasionally slipping into slightly harder edges,

I'm just rediscovering her.
