Spoof eBay E-Mail

I got a very official eBay appearing e-mail. It had the logo and all the information it is supposed to have. However, the item referenced was not accurate and I had nothing to do with the auction. I reported the e-mail to eBay and they CLAIM they will take action [Ha!]

Be very careful if you receive an e-mail, even if it looks legitimate, but contains errors.

Yes, they're getting pretty sneaky, the bastards.

Whenever I receive something like that I close it out and then access my ebay and paypal accounts through the proper channels to see if the email is accurate.

It never is.

I report it to ebay and paypal and then delete it as spam.

Good work! Always report spoof e-mails. It is a small thing, but maybe it will have an impact.
