Speed week at Daytona

Just had to ask ........Any gearheads going to any of the races at Daytona next week.......I fly out of Cold Pittsburgh Sat morning to land in the warmth of Fla. by lunch time......I hit some of the local tracks at night and have some meeting during the day at Daytona's speedway and watching time trials and races.

A busy week but just asking if any other might be there.......

Nope not going this year,but I went last year.Had a hell-of-a-good-time down there.

A friend of mine is down there this week for the dirt track races.And a couple other guys I know are going down there this weekend.

How do you think the new Dodge is going to do?Looks like an awsome car.

It is a great time Mortto, 250,000 in one place ya have to love that part and trying to find a place to park also can be a fun time.

My boss ran into Ray Everham at a race trade show and he wants to try to make something happen with Dodge.......Car looks good but lest see how they run.......I think they will run pretty good but not way out front....I think you'll see a Dodge in the top 10 finish.....

We try to go every year and mix work and fun ....and we do...The local tracks are a good time also all the local guys from up north travel down to see how they have there cars set up for this seasons races.......

I have no one I like to see win....I like the older guys....They drive better but I like the Tony Stewarts and other young guys cuase they have more balls and give the older boys a run for there money.......


I thought with almost 16,000 members on the board there might be a few heading down.......


For the Daytona 500 the best seat is in your house you can see it all then.......

I like Tony Stewart too.He cut his teeth on the road courses of IROC,and diffinetly knows how to drive a car.
I'm glad to see him in NASCAR.

Yes, He is someone to watch.....If they get his's car right he could be one of the unstopable ones this year.....I might be wrong but I think he won the most races last year (6) .....

another is Matt Kin? The DeWalt 17 he isn't bad....then there is little "E" out there makeing everone wreak ....he is plain reckless.........Watch out for him....cause he'll hit ya and spin ya out...lol....(Thinks he can drive like his old man).....He can't....

Matt Kensington is a good driver also.I think he is going to be a big name in racing in years to come,unless something happens to him,or his car.

I just don't like some of their tacktics they use sometimes.

I'm not saying their not good drivers,they can drive pretty good.

I'm just saying,there has been some shoddy decision making by both of them in races.

Nothing wrong with Big "E" he can be an asshole but he has earned the right to be an asshole.......Little "E" is a hot head that thinks he is like his Dad and his Dad learned the hard way and worked his way up to the top........Little "E" thinks his name means something to others ....Look what he did last year , if he calms down some he has good potential.....

As for Jeffery he is still trying to get his crew to build a car he can drive ....With Ray leaving in the past that killed that team......Just shows the driver isn't everthing .........You can have the best driver in the world but if the car isn't built right or set up well......well you don't have shit look what he did last year.....They tried and tried just couldn't make that car go...

My wife wants me to try to get something signed by him......(his Boxers)
