Speaking of Al Jazeera, isn't it time to call them out?

So now they're clairvoyants?

I think Al Jazeera does us a service by documenting & demonstrating terrorist inhumanity, & Iraqii war crimes.

They're definitely showing us stuff that the US media would never air.

Al-Jazeera has to be on the Al Qaeda payroll

they are a mouthpiece for the radical side of this whole mess, just as CNN or NBC or the BBC is the mouthpiece of our leaders.

As to whether Al-Jazeera have a "hotline" to the bad guys, well its my guess that they do not know where the people are either.

Possibly more a case of someone appearing with an item for them to broadcast.... which of course is lapped up by the rest of the world.

You reasonable racist PIG!!

I'm calling for you QuickDuck to rise up against those oppressive Australian officials and set your city ablaze. :)

Speaking of crow

Before the war started, SIN, you repeatedly claimed the Iraqis wouldn't fight, but instead would surrender in droves. Now you've been proven totally wrong. Very few Iraqis have surrendered. The overwhelming majority are fighting tooth and nail to defend their country.

Ready for your plate of crow?

We have taken thousands of prisoners.
Entire divisions are melting away.
Children are taken, their fathers and brothers sent out to die for Saddam to save their children.

You will get the head seat at Crowfest '03.

The ones that did surrender were the ones who didn't have guns to their backs or to the backs of friends and family.

Let's put a gun to the head of someone you love (I know, big reach) and see what you can be motivated to do.

Al Jazeera is basically the Middle Eastern version of our CNN. They're just as biased towards their regional audience as our media is here. I find it interesting how at the daily press conferences the foreign media is much more willing to ask the difficult questions than our media is.

A lot of the "ethics" of the American media in not showing certain things is just sympathy for who their audience is. Because lets face it, they have no problem showing violence and images of death in other situations. And they have no problem showing the death of foreign troops or our detainees (remember the pictures of the detainees at guantanamo bound and blindfolded).

Our media is being used as a propaganda tool by our military just as Al Jazeera is being used by the Iraqis. The sad thing though, is that our media should know better and our audience shouldn't stand for it here. Of course they shouldn't report things that put our troops in danger, but they SHOULD put journalistic truth before patriotism. They have a duty to question the government and to ask probing questions.

And according to the American field commanders they're fighting with a tenacity which is scary and with which our troops were told wouldn't happen...

I've told you before, anything you're told by Bush is automatically a lie...

Richard Perle resigned. The key architect behind the plan for the buildup to the war decided to resign rather than appear to have conflicted interests. Yeah, I guess it does appear suspicious that the mouth screaming loudest for the war and plans for Iraq afterward would appear to have conflicted interests by also directly profiting from it huh?

I don't think he's lying, I just think he doesn't knows any better. A lie implies something done with knowing intent - but ignorance just means not knowing. The latter seems to describe Bush with more accuracy. Remember, this was a man who had never traveled outside of the country before he was elected, and couldn't even name most of the important world leaders at that time. I believe he's an emotional man and he makes a lot of his decisions on emotion and faith rather than deep thought.
