For me I'd rather be spanked in fun. Actually, I've never been spanked any other way since entering this lifestyle. I don't think I'd take that well honestly, a punishment spanking would probably not work well for me.

If Master wants to really punish me, ignoring me is the best way to get his point across. But that's just me on this one.

I see spankings falling into three categories:

Spanking for Fun - Just cause I love doing it.

Spanking for Discipline - To modify future behavior before it occurs

Spanking for Punishment - To discourage behavior that has already occurred that I do not want to see repeated
