Spambots in Love

The last spam attack on story Ideas inspired me to think, what if:

a glitch in the programs of two sophisticated AI spambots, half a world apart, stimulates the programs to begin interacting , and they start flirting as if they were human. Meanwhile, two IT security geeks are tracking the two bots, and THEY intersect online and begin THEIR online romance...

A variation you could have on the idea is that you have two geeks who are among the world's highest ranking players in a WOW-style fantasy game. The guy has this big, ripped, knight-style avatar, while the woman has a slender, seductive female warrior avatar, donning an impractically revealing suit of armor.

The man sees the woman's avatar by chance one day, and instantly thinks she's the sexiest CGI character he's ever seen. (Move over, Lara ). Being the uber-nerd he is, the guy harvests the woman's avatar from the game's servers, for his own personal use, and basically makes his own CGI sex tape of his avatar screwing the brains out of this gorgeous warrior woman.

Somehow, either via the porn world's equivalent of youtube, or some other means, the (real life) woman gets a hold of the video. Secretly extremely turned on, but also feeling that her honor's been slandered, she seeks out the man's avatar in-game and confronts him. Together they agree to a duel; the stakes being that if the woman wins, the man has to make another "sex-tape" and upload it, except this one will be of his avatar being humped by a big ugly ogre, to humiliate him. But if the man wins, the woman becomes his unquestioning in-game concubine.

The man wins.

Together, both geeks hack the game server and edit it's code to allow their avatars (and only their avatars) to engage in any wild sexual activity they desire. As the passionate online affair continues the players begin to feel attracted to the actual person on the other end of the game.

So they decide to meet up IRL...

Never have played WOW but I always love that everyone says that the armor is impracticaly revealing. In reality the full on suits of armor would be impractical for a charachter who is traveling around a world for hours on in, running sneaking, swimming. If they had in game (realistic penalties) for speed, stealth, jumping and swimming every body but the tank would be dressed like hercules and xena. And how exactly does one manage to shoot a bow and arrow in full gauntlets and closed visor. If anything the revealing outfit should have a major charisma bonus. Even Ezio from assassins creed is wearing to much armor to be able to free run and he is as lightly armored as you can get and still be effective.
