Southerners

It snowed. Weird. It accumulated. Even weirder.

I was out knocking snow off the van this afternoon. The fuck? This is Virginia, coast Virginia, and it's frikken March.

Welcome to my world. One of the most traffic-killing snowstorms in Chicago history happened on April 1 my first year here.

That said, I'm flipping tired of winter in all forms. I want to move to Tahiti or someplace in that neighborhood.

Well, we have an inch and a half or so, so I'm still thankfully far from your world.

I'm tired of winter too. Still, I'm about as far away from it as I want to be. While I don't like it, it helps me to appreciate the other three seasons more. I can safely say shit like that because 1.5" of accumulation is the most snow I've seen in, oh, five years or so.

Fuck the other seasons. I want a hammock, a few cases of scotch, a shaded golf course, and a few personal friends nearby with which to enjoy the permanent warmth.

first you don't get any rain and are in a drought and now you're gonna go and call it yucky. shame on you! ;)

you can head over to east tn. i've still got plently of snow around my house and my sled's all dried out now.

It is yucky when it's 34 degrees. Lanier, Atlanta's primary source is up four and a half feet this year. But once the Bermuda High kicks in that's the end of rain unless we have a tropical event. Yeah, some convective stuff but that's like pissing on a forest fire.

19 degrees here tonight. That's close to our record low for the year. But if the ten day forecast looks good I'm starting the garden this weekend. Lettuce anyway. The loose leaf types grow well here.

Six weeks in LA convinced me that I needed variation in my weather.
