Southerners

They are going right down the road to Nashville to play Florida State. Atlanta lucked out and got Clemson and Auburn. They'll sell the dome out in a hurry. 9 of the 12 SEC teams in a bowl. Tough year for the Cocks.

Look at the Sugar falling out of the sky!

Congratulations on all my fellow SEC fans whose teams made it to a bowl. Let's sweep all before us and prove we are THE conference in college football.
Hi Party Girl hope you like football. lol

Yes, 5 of them playing either on New Years Eve or New Years day. Before LSU puts those yankees in their place.

Going back to the OP...I am a southerner. Born and raised in Tennessee (Vols football...ever seen an entire city turn orange?), moved to Georgia (Felt like such a traitor petting UGA on one of his daily off-season strolls), now live in Florida (A state southern by location only. I can only think of four people I know who aren't transplants from up north. I'm surrounded by gators both real and of the hideously blue and orange kind.) And yes, I like my grits with butter, salt, and pepper...as they were meant to be.

I live all of those southern beliefs I was raised to adopt. Be loyal, greet everyone you pass with at least a smile, you can't replace your family so keep them important to you, anticipate your guests needs, there is no excuse for bad manners or rudeness.

No I don't think the south will rise again (I have a preference for things that rise to be attached to northern men! ;) )

*narrows eyes* You, m'dear, and I have a lot in common. I think I like you. :)

Where in TN are you from originally? Did you go to UT as well?

Nope, just a die hard Vols football fan. I went to SCAD actually. LOL I grew up in a tiny town halfway between Knoxville and Chattanooga. You from TN too?

*blank stare* Where? Cleavland? Athens? Pitsburg? Sweetwater? Niota? I am from Johnson City, TN and went to UT for unders and to UTC for gradschool.

Hunny, I bleed orange and I'm sure the pearly gates are painted orange and white.

HAHHAHA, yeah i know the feeling. I lived in Ooltewah for a yr when i moved back to Chattanooga at one point. again, wow a small world. hehe

The East Tennessee Girls are officially here!
mg5-Have you dug out your yearbook yet? lol

No, it is stashed somewhere...haven't the foggiest where to even start looking. But I admit, my mind has been trying to run through the people I remember...sadly(?) I can't remember that many.

LOL, I don't know if it's sadly or I just blocked it all out.....

Sorry.. the pearly gates have blue and white stripes and a UK over the entrance. :D

*throws up a little in her mouth*

I'm sorry. My gut reaction is to retch when i hear such vulgarities. Even more so now that Jim is at UofL in Law School.

sorry.

Nothing to be sorry for. You're allowed your opinion.. as wrong as it may be. (j/k)
The world wouldn't be any fun if we all liked the same stuff.

Btw.. I was born in Tn but have lived in Ky most of my life (just a little aside).
