okie dokie...in case you didn't know, I'm a Girl Scout troop leader. One of our service events requires us to teach other scouts about a country. Now, we don't know which country we are going to get, but South Africa is on our list.

Can anyone help me with a simple craft or game to teach to girls from the ages of 5+? it needs to be quick and simple, we only have about 15 minutes to teach the activity.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any ideas...thanks

Now you know at least who to talk to, but I have no idea about any Afrikaaner games (That right?).

He will get to it soon enough for you I hope

Of course I can help you out, Sammy. Lucky that you got me here in the post-1994 era. Otherwise South Africans used to play a game called "apartheid". Of course if you weren't white then you couldn't play *laughs*. God, I come from a fucked up place. Its much better now.

Let me think about it Sammy. I'll let you know - promise.

Well Chef, its strange because SA is a very diverse place. At least three broad cultures have developed pretty independently of one another (because apartheid kept them seperate). I think that an indigenous craft would probably best reflect the true new South Africa *LOL*

Thank you dears...the children will be excited, I'm sure. Just drop me a mail...if you don't see me..er hear from me first ;)
