Hi,

I listed this in the 'How To' thread, but figured it'd probably be best suited to here...

I'm really intrigued by sounds, performed on both men and women. I'm guessing you need to be pretty damn careful when doing this, particularly if inexperienced. And tips/hints/ideas? Anyone else interested?

HI Joanna.
We sell sounds, straight sounds curved sounds vibrating ones ect and are often asked on how to use them The first thing we tell others, is for this type of play to get a mentor no way around it. This kind of play can be dangerous more so then if a newbie took up a flogger and hit you a little too hard. Sounds can cause permanent damage. That being said, you should start out with straight sounds, not the curved or vibrating ones and go a little on the smaller side. A mentor will guide you thru all this. Be sure the sounds are stainless steel and be sure they are sterilized both before and after use. (and yes even when you buy them its amazing the number of people that buy items like this and immediately use them without sterilizing.) They are easy to sterilize a pot of boiling water for a few minutes.
Do not use the sounds if there is any chance of infection, and try to keep the area as "clean" as possible.
Other then that I really do suggest a mentor.
Hope this helped

Oh Yes!

I am also intrigued. The only person I ever mentioned it to(a would be master) immediately blew me off. I guess when I said 'mine and yours' he flipped. What little experience I do have with sounds and stretching was intense to say the least.

I second the statement to get amentor. Playing with sounds is nto somethign that you can learn online. Being shown how it is done is the only proper and safe way to go.

sounds?

OK, it's either a linguistic thing, or I really deserve the shameful "virgin" tag, or I should get out more... but WHAT THE HECK ARE "SOUNDS?" I only know it as "noises," and I looked at the thread expecting to say, "'Mmmph, mmmmph' always does it for me." But clearly I'm out of my depth. Anyone want to give me a clue?

There have been some good discussions around this topic before, and from memory Shadowsdream had a lot to offer as well as pics of her beautifully crafted set. Will post one of the links I can recall the name of (damn lousy search function  ).

Sounds, anyone?

Quick note on the search function. If you can think of a word used in the thread that isn't common that helps. Say, suspire or x'tacy, I have found that is very useful the trick is thinking of such a term or word.

LOL, what frustrates me the most is the times I remember the thread name perfectly, even the thread starter, and it still comes up with nothing and I have to spend hours searching myself to find it the hard way....one would think after the months of complaints across all the Lit forums, that something could have been found to fix the glitch by now, but perhaps it is just another computer headache that takes too much upheaval to fix. I do recall the days when it was a useful resource and user friendly. :p

In that case I'd search the thread starters threads only. That usually is faster.

Hope you find it!

I love sounds play. There is a link at the bottom of this message, in my sig, to some information I pulled together. I hope it helps.

Have fun. Let us know about it. :D
