Is anyone up for a Soul Caliber rpg? the version for the Dreamcast is the only one i know of, but there may be others..... anyways, let me know if you are interested.

I whould be intrestied, however i dont know anything about Soul Caliber, chould you geive me a little info please.

I'm always up for a good RPG, and being in right from the start would be a nice change of pace, as opposed to jumping in on an established one. You'll have to describe the setting, though. Never even heard of this game, let alone played it. Still, I'd love a chance to take a shot at it. Post what you need, in the way of Stats, setting, bio, miscelaneous information, etc., and we'll see where this goes.

All the characters are warriors of a sort... some good, some bad..
And they are all fighting (for thier own personal reasons) a weapon called SoulEdge. It's a massive sword, and it's pretty evil. so the characters are all trying to track down the sword and win it... some it's for thier own personal gain, others it's for thier leader... some it's to destroy it...
That's essentially the storyline.
I could give you some actuall characters from the story if you wanted...
Here's my fav character.

Xian Chua
Mid 20's.
Brown hair
Brown Eyes
5'4
Lives in Japan, as one of the Emperors royal guards. She uses a sword, and the name of it escapes me right now.... very skilled in sword fighting, she learned it from her mother as a child before her mother died.

I would playt her, but there are many other characters, or you could create your own... some travel in groups... it all depends on what you want.

OOC: these are a few that I know very well. Anyone that plays them, that wants to know about their driving goals and beliefs and any other history, let me know.

Myself. I'm gonna play Voldo. Since he's my favorite of all.

OOC: well thanks for the info guys, my character is going to orginal, so here goes.

Dakota
Age: 25
Hair: black

Eye Color: blue
Sex Male

Dakota is a pure warrior, he loves battle and will do almost anything to get into fight, however, he hates evil and all of its minnions. So he sets out on this adventure to destory the Soul edge.

Okay.... I have my character so here goes.

Ralf
6'
Long white hair
Blue eyes

Ralf has heard of the Soul Edge and has started on this journey so that he can use the sword to destroy the invaders that have threatened his land. He uses to scimitars that he calls Claw and Fang.

Voldo sat in meditation awaiting the sects decision. All around him members of the cult were involved in blood sacrifices. For every innocent that was killed their blood was than poured onto Voldo's meditating body.
He could feel the still warm blood coursing down his back and over his chest. He could also sense that the members of the inner circle were now entering the room.
*Voldo! Arise! Let it be known that we send you to retrieve Soul Edge for us!*
Voldo stood and thrust his arms out ward. Waiting.
*For you journey you shall use our greatest treasure! The Weeping Blades are yours. May you bring agonizing death to all who oppose you, so that their families can weep for their loss!*
Cultists approached him on either side and placed the weapons over his hands and wrists. They then took hammer and nails to his hands. Once the blades were secured, Voldo flexed his hands to see just how much free space he had. Pleased. He bowed and left the chamber as the cultists began visiting an orgy of death upon the remaining innocents.
One of his lackey's greeted him outside the room. "Master, I see you now have the Weeping Blades? Does this mean we will be leaving soon?" Voldo nodded his head.
"Master, I will begin arrangements right away. The cult has agents out in the feild right now. Your coach will be readied." As always a rarity Voldo spoke, " Find out if there is a group of fighters that are meeting somewhere. I will join them to track down the weapon." His voice sounded, like sand rubbing over sandpaper, it made his servant shiver and flinch. "Yes master. It will be done."
Voldo smiled under his bandages as his sevant left. When he got his hands on the mighty SoulEdge, the cult would bow down to him. No, the world would bow to him.
He trembled with anticipation. As a cultist neared him to enter the chamber beyond, he bent low and with a swift uppercut severed the cultists head from his neck. Before the body could drop to the floor, Voldo grabbed the body and let the blood run over his body, bathing him in what he beleived was his victory.

Ralf walked out of the building and slid Claw and Fang into their sheaths. The people inside had been foolish to have tried to fight him and he knew that he had done the right thing by not killing them. It would take them a while to recover from their injuries so he knew that they wouldn't come after him.

He walked towards the gates of the village and looked out past them to the forest. Where on this earth was Soul Edge and how was he going to find it. He needed that sword, no matter the cost.

OOC:
Ivy.
late thirties.
silver hair,
blue eyes.
She is armed with a sword that at her command turns into a chain/whip. She seeks Soul Edge for her own purposes.

IC:
Ivy slid her sword into the sheath she wore on her back. The rumors of Soul Edge had started again. She had searched for it, many years ago, and failed. She had trained endlessly since, preparing herself for this day. She had only been a child then, no more than twenty. She had failed out of lack of skill, but more importantly, out of lack of desire. She knew what the sword could do for her now. She had the desire. She had the training. All she needed now was some poor sap who she could convince to help her....

OOC:
Garion
26 years old
Grey eyes
Golden hair, with black frosting at the tips
Armed with dual blades, Dai-katana & Wakazashi
Seeks only adventure, believes that the Soul Edge will be the greatest adventure of all.

Still don't know anything about this game, or if it's set on earth, modern, medieval, or some alternate world, but I'd love to play the poor sap to help you out, Lady Galadriel, aka. Ivy. Just write me in, describe the setting, and we can take it from there.

Ralf

Ralf walked out into the forest, wondering what he would find. Ever since he had begun this quest for Soul Edge he had been in nothing but fights. He won easily but he was beginning to get annoyed with them. He wanted to fight someone who would test his skills- someone that would take him to the brink of his skills.

He wanted to get better than he was and the only way to do it was to fight someone who was better than him.

OOC: I'd like to play. Sigfriede, I am thinking.

IC: Sigfriede had long tried to convince the Order to let her find the Soul Edge. At last, they had said yes. She was, as always, in her armor. She hated sitting in it all the time, but knew that if the Order knew she was a woman, they would quickly throw her out. She had come too far for that to happen. So now she packed quickly and admired her sword for a second before plunging it into it's sheath. She then put the pack over her arms and left. All she needed now was some sort of travelling companion(s).

Hey, is anyone still playing this thread? None of the older members seem to be posting... maybe it's just the time of year, holidays and all that...

Hello?....

ooc: That's a beautiful avatar, Blaze.

IC: I vy walked down the street, searching them for someone... she would find him... it would just take time, and patience, unfortueantly, she had little of both. She turned another street, and saw someone walk out of the corner store. He had two sords, very impressive looking ones, and the oddest hair. blond with black tips.
"Might be a good fight." she mused. and called out to hjim.

It had takken some time but, the cult had finally found someone who may know something about the weapon. A woman named Ivy.
That was probably why at this very moment Voldo was standing in the darkness watching, this Ivy, as she approached the other fighter with the twin swords. For now Voldo would watch and bide his time. When their little spat was over, than and only than would he reveal himself.
Soon he would bathe in the blood of his enemies.

OOC:

Thanks Lady Gal, a friend of mine knew I was looking for a good jpeg image for my avatar and she sent me this, I don't know where she got it though.

:D

Garion

Coming out of the store, Garion casually brushed crumbs from his shirt, lamenting the state of his clothing. Everything around here was so.... boring. No challenges. Suddenly he heard a voice calling to him. Spinning in place, he settled lightly on his feet, both hands resting lightly above the hilts of his blades, ready to draw at the slightest hint of danger. Down the street, he could just make out an outline, walking cautiously toward him... It looked to be female, but he could tell little else with the streetlight shining directly into his eyes. Damn, he thought. I can't see a thing, and whoever that is can see me perfectly. I hope it turns out to be a friendly..."

Ralf

Ralf walked into the town and looked around. It had been the first time in a while that he had been in a place like this and he wanted to enjoy the scenery. He was still a little annoyed that he hadn't found anyone yet to fight him but right now he didn't mind.

He walked towards a store and wandered in, he knew that he needed supplies. He grabbed some of the stuff that he would need and then walked out, wondering where he was going to go next.

Ivy advanced slowly. He seemed to have the streetlight in his eyes. SHe wondered if she should attack now, but she wanted to find out who this was... Perhaps he could help her find SoulEdge.
"WHat's your name?" she called out. SHe placed a hand near her sword casually. If she were to attack, she wanted him to be unprepared. But that would be her last resort. First, she wanted to see if she could con him into helping her... one never knew when they might need a helping hand.
"Hey." she said again. "You do have a name, don't you?"

Garion

"WHat's your name?"
Closer, and the faint whisper of fabric moving, as if the owner of the feminine voice were shifting position.
"Hey. You do have a name, don't you?"

Stepping carefully away from the open doorway, and moving slowly so as not to appear a threat, Garion set down the half-eaten loaf he'd been gnawing at, calculating the distance to his questioner. Too far, she'd have too much time to prepare herself before he could focus beyond the circle of light. He straightened again, mentally berating himself for letting his guard down. Well, she wanted to know who he was, and she seemed to be waiting for something, hadn't attacked yet... He took that as a hopeful sign...

"My name is Garion. And who are you, to so blatently accost me while I am about my business?"
Again, he berated himself. That damn mouth of his had gotten him into trouble before, and this was hardly the time to be so tactless. A mental shrug. Too late now, he mused. Settling back into a casual seeming stance, he prepared himself for an attack, whether physical or verbal an inconsequential detail.

Ivy's sharp laugh peirced through the street. He had confidence, that was obvious. She had watched his movements carefully, and surmissed that although talented and skilled, he would not be a match for her. Although she was sure he'd leave her with more than a few marks to remember. Here was where she had to make her desion. Fight him, or convince him to join her. And if the second choice, how would she go about it. He did not appear to be greedy, so the greed aspect probably wouldn't work... She'd have to play it by ear. Keeping herself ready for any attack he might make, she beagn to move silently around the circle of light to confuse him more.
"I am Ivy, and I shall 'accost' who ever i feel like, when ever i feel like it. " she laughed again. "And now Garion," she paused. here was the catch.. "I have have a business proposal for you." she smirked silently in the shadows. HE was silent, perhaps trying to determine where she was, or trying to decide how and when to attack. "I seek ... a object of great power. It was stolen from me many years ago." she lied, of course. "Now, I must travel and fight to get it back. I have trained for many years now, readying myself for this time, yet, I still need some assitance. I ask this of you now. Assist me, help me retrieve this ... heirloom of my family. I shall ... reward you greatly if you do." She paused again. "Do not mistake me. I am very strong, and very skilled." staying in the shadows, she slid her blade out of her sheath and into the light. The metal shimmered softly, and she knew he must be appreciating the workmanship of the sword, for it was of wonderful quality. Now she flicked her wrist a certain way, and the blade formed a long chain, several feet long. Flicking it up intot eh air, she hit out the street light, and comanded the chain to return to it's swrod state. She sheathed it again, and smirked.
"I repeat. My name is Ivy. Will you join me?" The words hung in the silence. She waited for his reply.

Garion

Soul Edge.
It had to be, he knew there were others out there searching for it as ardently as he was, and nothing else could explain her fixation on her goal. 'Family heirloom', indeed. One did not falter their speech when speaking truth, no, such was the mark of fabrication. And yet... Garion had no idea where to look for it. He was here only by chance, yet another town he'd come across in his quest for adventure. At the very least, she might have information he didn't. And she was right, one person, regardless of skill level, simply wasn't as effective as two.
All of this raced through his mind as she spoke, and he was only half-surprised when her weapon shattered the light above him. Rather, it was the weapon itself that gave him pause. He'd never seen anything like it, a sword, yet it could turn into a chain at will. Perhaps it could turn into other things as well? He wanted no part of that. The abrupt lack of light was welcome, though. As blind as he had been before, the time it took for his pupils to dilate and acclimate to the darkness was no hindrance, and it placed him on an equal footing with her.
Taking his hands from his blades, he crossed them on his chest, demonstrating peaceful intent, and bowed. "Mistress Ivy", he drawled, his voice thick with rancor, "I would be most honored to join one such as you in your search for... heirlooms. I assure you, no reward is necessary, for the pleasure of taveling with you must surely cast into shadow any material gain which I could possibly hope to attain."
From the depths of his bow, with his face concealed from her vision, he smiled to himself. Two could play the verbiage battle, and in his estimation, he'd just scored a point on her.

Voldo smiled. A family heirloom....... Very good Ivy. Voldo smiled through his bandages.
"So....... I wonder???? May I join you in finding this......Heirloom?" The scratchy grainy voice of Voldo was very unnerving.
The man that was with Ivy jumped, while Ivy just turned and looked in Voldo's direction. "Your errand boy doesn't look like he's used to the city." Voldo stayed in the darkness as he let his insult sink in. "Ivy? Is it.. This hierloom? Is it really that........ Special."
"And who do I have the pleasure of meeting now?" Ivy cursed herself inwards, how could she have missed him? "My name is V." Voldo had to keep his name simple, he wasn't sure how far his reputation had gotten and he didn't want to take any risks. He stepped into the light, what little of it there was.
They looked up at him, he was cowled in robes. But there was a distinct smell about him......it smelled of blood.
Voldo watched as they eyed him, the guy with the swords looked as if he was ready to strike, while "Ivy" looked at him with contempt.
