Poll: 75 percent of voters approve of Trump’s State of the Union​

A strong majority of voters who watched President Trump’s first State of the Union said they approve of the president’s remarks, according to a new poll.

A CBS News poll conducted in the immediate aftermath of the speech found that 75 percent approve of the speech. Eighty percent said Trump was trying to unite, rather than divide, the country.

The survey sampled more Republicans than a traditional poll would have, since members of the president’s party are more likely to tune in. The survey’s partisan breakdown is 42 percent Republican, 33 percent independent and 25 percent Democratic.

{mosads}Still, Trump outperformed among all these groups, with 97 percent of Republicans, 72 percent of independents and 43 percent of Democrats saying they approve. By contrast, a CBS poll released earlier this month found that only 33 percent of independents and 7 percent of Democrats approve of the job Trump is doing in office.

I'm impressed. I remember where I live they were giving out free "cable" boxes. I forget the actual name cus they weren't cable they were just the most basic channels that had been broadcast. The upside was 2, 4, 7 , 11 always came through clealry on my last TV that wasn't on cable. The downside was I lost access to Spanish channels cus I was close enough to Mexico to get their stuff. I thought that was nationwide. And I mean back in the early 2010s not recently.

Yes, there are digital TV broadcast antennas on mountaintop all over the West. If you have a standard TV, you can get free reception.

That's why Paramount and the Ellisons are so intent on taking over the main networks for propaganda control purposes.

Since it didn't affect me pretty much at all aside from losing access to Mexican media I thought there was some fundamental difference between what ye olde bunny ears were doing and what is happening now. The only TV in my house that wasn't on cable already was a dedicated Playstation TV. I fully admit I could be wrong.
