Just kidding all. I'm only sorta back. I only have about an hour a day to write with the job and the baby, so my new threads will be few and far between.

I do plan on writing them tho. Finally started feeling the new interface..... (Still miss view previous thread tho....)

Who bombed my stories?

All right, now that ticks me off,

I take a short break and the first thing that happens is somebody bombs "Quiet Streets"

Arrgh..... 3.8? Come on, That stories got some GREAT authors in it. It's a little more gritty than typical, but that was the point.....

Guess I should just write a new one and start over.....
So without further ado,

The Brevdravis Story poll 3!

Would you rather see:

1. A NC fantasy story.
2. A Sf/aliens story
3. A generic chyoo story. (Ya know party and lots of available chicks.
4. A "risky sex" story where the objective is to have unprotected sex with as many men or women as possible. (FM/MM/FF/and all the combinations....)

Oh now I see,

The person who bombed me bombed every thread that didn't have explicit sex in it. He particularly didn't like the thread where I have character development and the character turning down sex in order to emotionally support someone.

Thanks a lot jerk....

Don't know about the rest of you but I like a little story with my sex. A little BUILD-UP does wonders..... Sorry to bitch, just ticks me off that somebody would like me when I write pure smut and shit on me when I try to tell a story. Ok, Done ranting now. Good to be back.

I now exactly how you feel, Stuart. Good to have you back. Recently I wrote a thread for Cutie's Goldeneye story, which had no sexual elements to it whatsoever and was just purely about adding to the storyline. Some time later I got a anonymous criticism of the thread, saying it had been marked down because it had no sex in it. Sorry just felt like bitching about it.

I think a new and different science fiction or fantasy story would be good, as I always liked Quiet Streets. Possibly something dark again.

Don't get too pissed over Chyoo's voting stuff. Granted, it's pretty poor from that guy to go over a story to purposefully nuke it into the ground... But Chyoo's voting system is kinda flawed anyway. If you have one EXCELLENT thread that everybody rates 5.0, your story will be well marked even if most of the other threads are so-so (of the: not good enough to vote... not bad enough to vote... kind). Same thing if you have one CRAP thread that everybody hates, it doesn't matter if the rest of the story is very much bearable.

Voting is a personal opinion

I have had the same problem all of my stories have been given a slew of 1's and 2's presumablely becasue there was not sex on every thread. I have decieded not to give a crap about the ratings because they are just one person's personal opinion. I do wonder what the mix of people are who prefer nothing but sex to those that prefer a story. I find writing nothing but sex gets boring after a few hundred threads.

I write what I want, and don't really give a crap if it appeals to everyone. I did not miss the ratings when they were not working. Ever since they came back my stories have attracted a slew of poor votes.

I think a better goal is to attract as many writers as possible to a story, I think that is a better indication of how good the story is.

I vote on a lot of stories based on the writing, sexual content and descriptions, and POV consistentcy. I like a wide variety of stories and think I have voted fairly. I always give a comment if I rate a story below a 3. I think that is only fair.

Anyway welcome back and don't give up on quiet streets. I am enjoying it and finding it to be an interesting story!!

Regarding Risky Sex.

What I mean by "risky" sex is sex where there's no protection involved.

I don't know about the rest of you, but no birth control stories are a big turn on....... Especially the reactions.

Plus, I'm a little turned on by some MM action sometimes, so if you folks want to hear my other side, just let me know....

In Chyoo, of course, we can stick to only the dramatically amusing consequences of "risky sex."

(imagining a couple of definitely-pregnant women tugging on opposite arms of our hapless protagonist).

Of course, meeting your "anonymous pickup" partner the next day in very different social circumstances is its own kind of risk.

So I'd be happy to see what you do with your "risky sex" story. And if you've followed my stories/threads, you'll notice a certain amount of MM activity.

I feel like the last person to welcome you back Stuart. Well as you can see I haven't had much time to properly promote Quiet Streets, which is why I am glad you're partly back! And... I am not sure why, but I had no control over the approval of threads either. Not sure how they got aproved... unless you came back and did it. The settings are not set auto-aprove. I have tried to find time to go through the new bunch of threads and edit anything that needed done, but nope. I didn't get to it yet. They look good from what I see... and I know who wrote them, so I wasn't too worried.

About your new story... surprise me. lol. You write it then let me know. I know, I am not much help!
