Sorry, this member does not allow anonymous feedbacks

I wanted to contact someone who commented on one of my stories, and when I tried to reach out to them through the contact page on their member profile, there was no option to do so. Instead, it simply said: Sorry, this member does not allow anonymous feedbacks.

I verified I was logged in: I was. I tried different browsers, logged out and in again, tried a different profile - doesn't matter what I do, there's no option to leave feedback for this individual.

Working as intended, or a bug?

I may be wrong, but I think you can turn off all feedback in your options?

Maybe the person has done that and it includes registered users as well as anonymous visitors, but it just mentions the latter when you try to use the contact option?

Maybe the member doesn't want feedback, and has turned it off.

It might be a mistake in the message though, not sure (the site is making changes, so it might be a tweak that needs tweaking).

Oh I didn't, they left me a very nice comment and I simply wanted to reach out. I was just confused about the 'anon' thing.

That's likely to be turned off too, if the person wants to be incommunicado.

As in, a conversation on the forum? That assumes they're active on the forum, right? Doesn't appear they are.

No, well, not quite. There’s an envelope icon at the top right corner of this page, for personal messages. As EB says, they might have turned that off, too, but it’s a possibility.
