sore back

try relaxing... and not doing anything... the hot shower is a good idea... but try a bath instead, it might be better if you dont use it that much (never know what some movements might do to it).... if anything else... put some icyhot on it or something like that

Here are my suggestions:

1.) Take ibuprophen, asprin, or aleeve. Take them with caffeinne (It increases the anagesic effect of these type of drugs.). Do NOT take tylenol. It is not an anti-inflamatory drug. Back pain is caused by inflamation. (I have never seen a case where this was untrue.)

2.) Stretch your back. My fave way to do this is to alter my sleeping position. Turn your feet towards the head of the bed and scoot your ass up to the headboard as far as you can get and still breathe. Sleep this way--curled up. That is a gentle stretch--do it for 8-10 hours and your back pain may be completely releived.

3.) Learn good body mechanics--never EVER lift anythign without having your knees bent--at least slightly. This way, your knees will tell you if you are overdoing as opposed to your back. (Your knees just go down telling you to quit lifing that item. Your back hurts for days.)

4.) Go swimming. This will move and stretch the muscles in a low stress environment. It may be enough to cure your problem also.

5.) Hot tub or hot bath.

6.) Auto back massager--I got mine for 10$ at Walmart--worth every dime.

7.) If you need to pick ANYthing up off the floor or a lower shelf. squat down to do this. This will also stretch the back. (I have back pain often--from shitty posture--squatting to do my filing usually gets the muscles in good order quickly.)

Of all of these, the sleeping position is the most effective for me. I work in healthcare and see loads of people who complain of back pain. In maybe 90%, it is caused by muscle strain. In maybe 8%, it is caused by muscle strain combined with the damage caused by poor body mechanics over all the years. In 2%, there is actually something wrong. Maybe. (These figures are off the top of my head.)

Good luck. Please post an update and let us know what relieved your pain.

OK

I WILL TRY ALL OF THEM AND LET YOU KNOW.someone told me try sleeping on my stomach but that kind of hurts my dick.i could sleep on the floor.i will keep you posted.

4 or more advil and 2 or more Valerian Root. Ice the back 20 min. on 20 min off. And sleep on your back with some cushions under your legs. Oh and try hanging, like if you were going to do a pull up. Just don't pull up it stretches the back out and realigns the spine. Good luck

WHERE IN YOUR BACK IS THE PAIN...

don't forget kidney infections can cause a backache.... But you'll have a fever soon enough if this is the case...
