during serious conversations, i start replying in song lyrics and see how long it takes people to notice. if they notice.

the life lesson that comes from this is that people respond well to meaningless clichés, as long as they sound pretty and poetic.

the answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind

Haha. I do this on a regular basis, and have found the same result.

I can't decide if it saddens or entertains me.

The lesson I took is that nobody listens to what dolf is saying and she could say, "The dog went bookshelf" and her listener would just nod and keep on talking.

Pretty much.

If it be your will, that I speak no more, and my voice be still, as it was before, I will speak no more. I shall abide until I am spoken for. If it be your will.

See, now I'm going to always be paranoid that I'm responding to some song's lyrics for someone's amusement and I'm going to have to google every post that sounds even remotely poetic.

Ain't Nobody Got Time for That

You just want the phone to ring, the dogs to bark and the wind to sing your name, here in the car.

And we're just staring at the flies. They're all dying to get inside. It's so strange how hard luck keeps.

It gets so easy to leave. The work and aeroplane we see as just exits from now.

Worlds collide and we depart. All my clothes get strewn about. Well, who really owns the floor.

I'm not your way out.

If this turns into another never ending lyrics thread, dolf is going on iggy toot fucking sweet.

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it. If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands clap your hands.

:D

It's your thing! Do what you wanna do. I can't tell you who to sock it to. It's your thing! Do what you wanna do now. I can't tell you who to sock it to.

If you want me to love you, maybe I will. I need you woman, it ain't no big deal. You need love now, just as bad as I do. Make's me no difference now, who you give your thing to.

I'm not trying to run your life. I know you wanna do what's right. Ah, give your love girl, do whatever you choose. How can you lose, with the stuff you use?

It's your thing! Do what you wanna do. I can't tell you who to sock it to. It's your thing! Do what you wanna do now. I can't tell you who to sock it to.
