Sometimes...

Hiya Foxy :rose:

I think you're right when you say sometimes love isn't enough. That's when it requires there to be trust, reliability, and strength to go along with the love.

Be strong. Love can survive obstacles. It just takes more work sometimes.

Hope.

It takes hope, too.

I don't know what's more cruel - hope, or no hope.

No hope. Trust me. Although false hope takes a close second. Real hope, however, can be a saving grace, though at the time it feels like a vise grip on your heart.

*hugs*

I think it takes a truckload of acceptance to get through some things. I just don't have the power to control much of what goes on in my life, and I need to accept that.

Additionally, I need to do the next thing under my nose which needs to be done, and to try not to worry about how it turns out.

"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."

The wisdom can be a bitch, too.

but if there's no hope, we're fucked.

That has been my experience, too.

"This, too, shall pass." It always seems to.

c'mon...all you need is love :)

Love Is The Answer - Todd
Name your price
And take it to paradise
I can't stay here any more
And I've looked high and low
I've been from shore to shore to shore
If there's a short cut I'd have found it
But there's no easy way around it

Light of the world, shine on me
Love is the answer
Shine on us all, set us free
Love is the answer

Who knows why
Someday we all must die
We're all homeless boys and girls
And we are never heard
It's such a lonely world
People turn their heads and walk on by
Tell me, is it worth just another try?

Tell me, are we alive, or just a dying planet?
What are the chances?
Ask the man in your heart for the answers

And when you feel afraid, love one another
When you've lost your way, love one another
When you're all alone, love one another
When you're far from home, love one another
When you're down and out, love one another
All your hope's run out, love one another
When you need a friend, love one another
When you're near the end, love one another
We got to love one another

Light of the world, you got to shine
Love will be a means, yeah, yeah
Shine on us all
Know that love can save the day
Just give it one more chance
Lord you just can't let it stop Lord
Love is the answer
Got to be free to let love into your life
Let it shine

Faith, Hope and Love.
But the greatest of these is love.

I've tried to learn to let my head have a say in where my heart goes, before it goes too far down the road on its own. That seems to be working for me now.

For me, the catalyst is faith. Not religious faith, but believing in something that I cannot as yet touch...a dream, yes, even hope. Faith is the hardwork...the patience, that allows me to discover which things will move, and which things are glued to their spot. I believe in the process. It's where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. Without faith, my love and hope are merely latent.

I have faith in the process. I have faith in the largeness of the human spirit and will, too. Love is what comes to me, but through faith I generate movement in my present. For me, love and hope are necessary elements, but faith becomes the catalyst that leads them into my reality.

Love is....

Is like ill fitting shoes that wear in over time, to become your favorite pair till you see the hole in the soles! Stick to lust. (it's almost a full moon)

foxy, MAKE a great day!:rose:

and I....I am going to forge a :D from memories - both treasured and discarded - in the furnace of love's hope.

Love needs friendship and respect and compassion and strength and lust to last. It needs to be a part of a whole and can't survive on its own.

I first heard the term "You can't choose who you love, love chooses you" from a song by Laurie Lewis and covered by Kathy Mattea.

Love comes unbidden, can't be forbidden
It takes you and shakes you right down to your shoes
It knows heartache and trial but accepts no denial
You can't choose who you love, love chooses you

In the wink of an eye love looses an arrow
We control it no more than the flight of the sparrow
The swell of the tide or the light of the moon
You can't choose who you love, love chooses you

Tell me now if I'm wrong
Are you feelin' the same
Are your feet on the ground
Are you callin' my name
Do you lie awake nights
Please say you do
'Cause you can't choose who you love
Love chooses you

Love cuts like a torch to a heart behind steel
And though you may hide it, love knows how you feel
And though you may trespass on the laws of the land
Your heart has to follow when love takes your hand

And it seems we're two people within the same circle
It's drawn tighter and tighter till you're all that I see
I'm full and I'm empty and you're pouring through me
Like a warm rain fallin' through the leaves on a tree

Tell me now if I'm wrong
Are you feelin' the same
Are your feet on the ground
Are you callin' my name
Do you lie awake nights
Please say you do
'Cause you can't choose who you love
Love chooses you

No you can't choose who you love
Love chooses you

'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Anyone have issues with that?

I have several.

Ah. Losing love is surely a test of strength and virtue. If you can take the loss and embrace it, remember the wonderful times and move on, it will make you a stronger, more resiliant person. If you wallow in it and never let go, it will make you an incomplete person.

It can be so difficult to move on at times.

I am sorry your moon has tears, foxinsox.
