Sometimes it's worth the wait to see the mighty fall.
I know that I mentioned a certain couple that live in my park. They feel that the rules don't apply to them because he was born here in the park. (These are the people who's outdoor Fireplace was sanded with Kitty Litter.)
Well it seems this guy was tired of paying for his electricity in the cold the past few mornings. He designed and built his own heater. It seems that today he turned it on then went off to the store to get another part or three.
According to my neighbors, (I was at work,) at roughly ten this morning there was a loud boom. When people went to find out what had happened they found this guys trailer with the roof half off and it's windows gone. The Fire Department arived and investigated. They talked to the guy and by the end of it walked away shaking their heads. It seems the guy is lucky not only to be alive but to not be arrested.
You see it turns out he ahd decided he didn't want to pay for his heat so had designed a heater to run off Propane. He cut the pipe to his stove and attached another pipe to it running to his home made heater. His work on this must have been of the calibre of the rest of his work and it leaked. He lit the heater then left for the store. The Propane must have leaked into his trailer and when it reached the right mixture it detonated.
It could have been worse, much worse. The heater was in the master bedroom with the door closed so there wasn't that large of a blast. (If it had been the entire trailer then it would have destroyed not only his trailer but also those of his neighbors.) No one was home so no one was injured. (Although I'm sure there was more than one pair of soiled drawers.)
When I got home one of my neighbors came over to tell me about it so of course I had to trot over to check it out. For me, knowing the kind of couple this happened to, it was almost too funny. I just wish I had my camera. (I get that back next week. I loaned it to my father.)
