I was in class, and turned to the back of my binder, and the words flowed.
Sept 11, 2001
Death, War, Chaos, Destruction,
All of these mean nada, nothing,
Deaths of lovers, deaths of friends,
All led to a tragic end,
No one comes back, they are forever gone,
The rest of us just muddle along,
Try to cope, to go on with life,
Try to handle this horrible strife,
Our loved one's gone, forever departed,
Their souls to heaven, we know, darted,
Sacrafices remembered, hundreds saved,
To Valhalla, go the brave,
The firemen, paramedics, cops,
Died saving those a-top,
The towers, toppled by the deaths,
Of people screaming their last breath,
The cowards, the monsters, the hated few,
Did what no one believed they'd do,
Killed hundreds, thousands, for no cause at all,
Just to make America fall?
