Something that is bothering me (bi-related)

Hey all,

On Saturday, I watched a full lengthed movie online called Shifting Gears: A Bisexual Transmission (which I think is probably the dumbest name in histroy, but I digress). I thought the cast was attractive and the story wasn't too bad (could've used a little oiling up here and there). However, the sex was pretty unpassionate and the cast had zero chemistry (even the male/male scene was lacking).

Of course, I was left in a confused state of "maybe I'm really gay trying to be bi", but I think of boobies, and pussy, so that's not the case. As I said, I just found the sex scenes lifeless (and pretty "bounce the check" like).

Anyway, has anybody else had this kind of moment?

I don't understand why a sucks film left you wondering about your attraction to women, and not to men-- if the sex bored you it's because the film sucked, not because you're more gay than you thought you were...

Yeah, I know. Actually, what I meant, I wished I liked it cause I am bi, not cause it made me feel more gay.

And to be fair, it had a man on man scene, and even that was lame. It was hot in the way I picture it, but what they pulled on screen was a bit boring.

At the end of the day, don't attempt to define your sexuality and orientation on one film, either good or bad.

There is good and bad porn either way, amateur or professional wise of all forms. As I've been told, I probably just picked a bad one or just one which didn't click for me. When I watch bi porn, i want to at least feel that they are into it, but this one didn't register for me. Like you said, it helps if the sex was believeable.

I do like a instant sex scene once and a while, but I don't mind a good build up as well (not exactly romantic, but a slow burn is better than a burn out).

The worst insult I can think of for a film is that it looks like a porno with the dirty bits cut out. Which is a long-winded way of saying that porn is not generally known for its plot or characterization. Which is a long-winded way of saying, skip the horrible acting and unbelievable set-up and get to the fucking. But at the end of the day, if the sex itself is unbelievable, if the actors look like they're doing a half-assed job of something that they don't particularly enjoy, if they're chewing gum and staring at the ceiling, it's going to turn me off.

WElll... One thing about bisexuality is that the balance changes over time-- sometimes you do like men better than women, sometimes you prefer women over men. Then it can change back. I doubt that anyone is some kind of perfect bisexual for more than a few hours in any given day...

At least for me, this statement describes my sexuality perfectly. There just is no real consistency, depends on the day and the person. My wife always turns me on though

I think we have all the our different views. Thinking back, I admit that I might've judge the movie more around the whole controversy around it (the fact that many of the male actors had done gay porn and many were openly gay). I might be willing to give it another chance.
