I'm in way too whiney a mood for teasing tonight. Having to deal with as many relatives as I have in the past 36 hours has that effect. Bluesboy on the other hand, handled all my relatives very very smoothly I must say, even though he was tested --

Bluesboy talked to my mother on the phone today for the very first time:
Bluesboy: Hello. Merry Christmas. How are you?
Mom: [Ten minutes of listing her various medical conditions]
*rolls eyes*

It also happens that my dad and bluesboy share the same first name. My Dad called and Bluesboy answered. I thought we were going to get to "Who's on First" for a second there.

Listen, walking through my family relations at the moment is a minefield in anyone's book. *Deep sigh of relief* I think we survived it all pretty well.

My funny of the day. Showing step-mom the silver ring my mother sent me. It's actually quite nice -- nothing I'd pick for myself, but nice nevertheless -- with 3 small carved elephants in it. My step-mother smiled and asked my dad to give me their gift. It was a silver elephant pendant. I asked my step-mom, "Did you and Mom get together on this, or what?" We had a very good laugh as the chances of those two women ever being in the same room together much less speaking are less than a snowball's chances..... you get the idea.

So, on that thought gentlemen, someplace is going to the Land of Nod. Sweet dreams to you both.
