And I'm not too happy about it. Just thought ya'll might want to know in case I don't come back.

Well. Don't go outside please.

Whatever your post is saying it sounds scary as fuck.

If you feel uncomfortable call the police that is what they are for.

be safe... and get on the phone with someone... so that, if something happens, you'll have a witness. Whenever I'm afraid, I call someone to calm me, and to witness whatever may happen, IF something happens.

I went and looked. Nobody there. But we did hear noises. Me and the cats. So I know there was something. The male is my little narc. He warns me when someone (hubby) is coming.

Doors are locked, and security shutters are in place. I have my big ass Maglite next to me, and a can of Raid just in case. LOL

We will see.

where is your husband>?

:p

Raid might get'em if its a bug, (hehe) What you need is a can of pepper spray. The kind you get for spraying grizzly bears. They have larger canisters than those people sized cans.

I wouldn't know where to get pepper spray. Not to mention that it's way too late to go find some anyway. It's almost fucking 1 am. Damnit.

I hate online book stores. Have to go to work in the morning. I'm tired and wired. Alone in a foreign country, not too far from a suspected terrorist cell. Not to mention there's something in the garage that a local theft ring might want very badly. It's times like this that I don't want to be here.

I don't mean go get the pepper spray now. Especially if its 1 am, its only 4pm where I'm at. But, you can get pepper spray in an outdoor recreation/sports store or hunt on the internet for vendors.

I know this suggestion won't help for tonight. Think about getting some of it for feeling secure in case this happens again some later night.

He is making a good point

:p

The can of raid will work better than the pepperspray if you combine it with a cigarette lighter or a lit match. (many a GI Joe lost his life in this way in my younger days) Just be careful not to catch the drapes on fire, although they say people are more likely to respond if you yell 'Fire' than 'Help' or 'rape'.

1. no drapes

2. lit candle nearby, along with big ass lighter

3. nobody would understand "rape", "fire", or "help".

4. maglite doubles as nasty conking weapon

Anyway, it's been quiet out there ever since I started this thread. But I will not hesitate to call the police in a nanosecond if I feel threatened.

so an intruder can see right in at you?

:p

That answer your question Siren? There is no need of curtains. Well, not that kind anyway. The shutters are the kind that roll down over the entire window or door. No one can see through them. Any more info would not be safe to give.

Unforunately, I believe that Pepper spray is illegal in Germany, wher April is.

Raid is good choice for a substitute -- it's a nerve agent similar to that in many military arsenals. It won't stop stop someone as fast as pepper spray, but it's going to make them very, very sick, if it doesn't kill them outright -- slowly and painfully, of course.

April's hubby is in the military. He's not there then that generally means he's doing something the military says he's supposed to be doing.

April is not legally allowed to have items that would defend her like guns, knives, or sprays. If you live on base they want those things locked in the armory.

April, my love, have you made any friends over there? Have you learned any German? Gone out anywhere? Staying home all the time is only going to make you hate it more.

Damn near any aerosol sprayed in the eyes is likely to seriously impair a potential assailant, IMHO. Bugspray can't be fun on such delicate tissues.

keep a lighter with that raid, and everything'll be alright. Flamethrowers are cool! If used properly of course.

Bigdog!! Yes, I did ring. :D How's your bark?

Raid + lit candle or lighter = very nasty time for intruder. I'm well aware of this. Why else do y'all think I've got the Raid? You didn't think it was for the horseflies did ya? ;)

KM, I live off base, but I'm not sure of the legality of those items. They're worse than useless if you don't know how to use them. Which I don't. I do, however, know how to use a spray can. And quite well, too.

Anyway, no harm no foul. But we will be more vigilant from now on.
