Someone please tell me what I have to do to get my stories published here. I sent one to an "Editor" and I never heard for that one again!!
Just some one who gives a crap tell me how to get it done.

First of all, don't put your email address or any other personal information here. I shouldn't even need to tell you that but apparently I do.

Secondly, drop the attitude. There is nothing even vaguely complicated about submitting a story here. Go back to the home page and follow the links for "submissions." It ain't brain surgery.

I have a question. Did you communicate with the editor before you sent the story to him/her? Your editor is like your best friend and worst enemy. I hate mine and can't live without her.

But you have to understand that editors are voluntary. They don't have to edit and they don't have to accept your work.

Killer Muffin wrote a really good piece on selecting an editor. You can find it in the "How Too..." category. It's quite precise. Approach the editor you select with a request to do work for you. Give the editor a sample of your work, not the story you want edited. Build a relationship with your editor. And above all, remember, the editor is a volunteer, he/she is doing you a favor. They don't have to accept your stories for editing.

When you and your editor are happy with the story, do like Peachkeen said. Go to the main page and follow the Submit links.

And finally, NEVER, EVER ask anyone how long it takes a story to be posted, except MathGirl, of course.

I never realized you had to send it to an editor...cant you just go to Submit story...and send it...in a few days it will post. (been a while since I have written anything)

First of all, let me apologize---I did not realize that I was coming across as having an attitude. I am sorry for that.

I did communicate with the editor, she agreed to fo over the story because it had been refused once , so I sent it to her and about 2 weeks later I e-mail her to ask if she got it, and she never answered ! So I have no clue what happened to it.
So I guess I will go back and find another editor!

Go back and find another editor. Waiting for two weeks for a piece is entirely too long without some communication. Hell, it's too long to wait for a finished piece, period.
