The Attic space was small, dark with limited light and slightly cold. However Jack found it the best place to write. In his fifty's now he looked back at life experiences to help him write friction which he was building up quite a following.
For his latest piece he thought back to when he was twenty one. He had moved from London to New York. He moved with his seven year girlfriend. Who after being in New York for three months ran off with another man. This leaving Jack poor, alone and hungry on the streets of New York.
He did still have his good looks though and this soon manage to score him some modeling work which then turned out to be dancing in strip bars.
This part of his life was also when Jack developed addictions to cocaine and cannabis.
His ex girlfriend, Emily, who he had moved out to America with had been his first girlfriend and been with him all throughout his teenage years. Then when she left when Jack was twenty one he just kind of lost all commitment to girls.
