I have a friend who has just joined Lit, but his profile doesn't have a PM thing next to it, does he have to make a post to have the PM thing appear in his profile or what?


I forgot to say also, when we were trying to get him to show, his profile on the board said he was offline, but he said he was on Lit.... whats with that?

My guess is that he has disable his PM option, not to receive PMs.

Have him go into Edit Options and have him check the box Enable Private Messaging.

Then he will be able to send and receive PMs

He needs to enable private messaging. Go to the User CP to edit options, there's a box to enable private messaging which must be checked and then be sure to save changes by pushing the button at the bottom.
