Some sad news...

Sack,

There is nothing I can say that has not already been said, other than that I shall light a Candle not only for your Mother but for you and your Father as well.

Sack, words cannot express the loss of a loved one, most especially ones mother. Know that the hearts and prayers of your friends are with you and your family. Be well and have faith that the sun will shine in your life once again.

I'm sorry to report that my mother passed away yesterday. She had complained to my father during the night of chest pains, and was alert enough to make the 911 call herself. However, as she was wheeled into the emergency room, her blood pressure fell alarmingly, and despite the efforts of 10 doctors, was declared brain dead. We decided as a family to unplug the machines that were keeping her artificially alive a few hours later, so now she is gone. The calling hours are tomorrow and the funeral is Saturday. It's going to be a long weekend, and I hope my father gets through it relatively unscathed. Since he has Alzheimer's I'm not totally sure he is even aware she isn't ever coming home. Please say some prayers I will emotionally survive the next couple of days!!

I'm sorry for your loss, I know how it is to suddenly lose a parent. Just be there for your Dad and try to explain her death to him in a way he'll understand. :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose:

All I can say is that I wish I knew you better so my words might mean more. Both my parents passed away a long time ago, but I can remember the pain clearly. I'm very sorry for your loss. Like everyone else, feel free to PM me if you ever want to talk.

Good luck.

Abs.

All the positive energy I can send is headed your way my friend...I am so sorry...

Sack, I am so sorry to hear of her passing. It is so hard to lose someone like that. We Lost my Grandfather 2 years ago to a bloodbourne infection. My Grandmother has Alzheimers as well, and at that stage of her disease, she kept asking where Grandpa was, and my family wo9uld tellher that "he went to town." and then she woud just say "Oh, OK." and leave it at that untill a few hours later, themn we'd start all over again. Just remeber you are on alot of thoughts and prayers right now, and Please give yourself some time to heal and mourn.
Hugs,

I have experience with watching a close family member fade from an Alzheimers type illness, and I know how hard and heart-wrenching it is.

Pm if you ever fancy a chat. Sorry for your loss, Sack :rose:

Thanks...

to everyone for your heartfelt thoughts. The funeral was Saturday and everything went as well as can be expected. My sisters and I are providing round the clock care for my dad, who is understandably confused and overwhelmed. I wrote a poem about this whole experience, Return To Love, which should be posted soon. Hopefully it's not too raw and disturbing...

Best, Sack

Thanks for updating us, Sack. Hope you and your family soon come to terms with what has happened. I look forward to your poem and will continue to send you prayers.

Oh, Sack..

{{hugs}}

She truly is in a better place now. As much as we will always think of our loss, remember what those we love have given us.

Remember too that her body is not hurting anymore...and her soul is in a wonderful place. :rose:

Sincere Condolences!

Sack,

Although I don't know you, losing a Mother is something so many of us have in common with you. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure your Mother was a tender kind lady and you will miss her very much.

How I wish we, (all your friends) could take a portion of your grief and pain and make it our own to relieve you of some of the heartache.

Once the heartache goes, here's hoping you have many warm lovely memories of your dear mother to comfort you always.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's never easy, no matter what age we are or how long we've had them with us for. :rose:
