The problem is that the longer they are exposed to the Left's ideas about openness, tolerance, diversity and morality, the more shocked they become and the more reenforced they become in their beliefs. Oh, at first they love the freedom, especially theirs to set up and attend mosques, but Lindsey and the Kardasians begin to grate upon them after a while...

Beckel is a political operative-turned-pundit; I can't believe he was ever in the CIA. Though since his most famous campaign was Mondale '84, he probably wishes he was in the CIA so he could get a new identity.
